               Hi all,

I recently discovered that you can add comments to a PDF by opening the applications key and hitting enter on “add sticky note.” Does anybody know how to navigate to and read these notes with JAWS after they have been created?

Thanks for any help on this.

In what way does it work better than Chrome itself? I have used both Edge Dev and Edge Beta extensively and have the full version which replaces the old Windows 10 Edge on my laptop, but for the most part still prefer Chrome.

Anyhow, maybe no need to get into the Beta now, it is my understanding that it will only be a couple more weeks before Edge is officially released via a Windows 10 Update.

I want you guys to know that the Chromium version of MS Edge, the beta version, works great with JAWS!

If you have not installed it and tried it, I strongly recommend that you do!

It will be your favorite next to IE 11.

It works better with JAWS than Chrome itself!

NVDA and Narrator work really well with the New Chromium version of Edge beta as well!

You will be surprised how well Narrator works with the new Edge!

I should also add here that Microsoft will begin rolling out the new version of Edge beginning January 15, which is next week Wednesday. This is according to information that was published in PC World.

Hi Tom,

Do you have smart navigation on by default? When you are in an open email press Jaws Key + X and see if it says “Smart Navigation Off”, if so it was on and if it is off you are probably going to be happier when it comes to Outlook.

First off verify that you have "layout" tables ignored  in your JAWS quick settings.  Also, there is aa Outlook function to "View in Browser", this used to be in the ribbon, but it seems to be hidden these days, and if activated warns you that the Browser is has a different security configuration from Outlook. You can add it into the Quick Access Bar if you think it would be useful.

Hopefully one of these will help,

Place the cursor where you want the bottom right corner of the frame to be and then press this keystroke. If the top left corner has already been defined, this activates Frame Viewer to give the frame a name and other characteristics.

Place the cursor where you want the top left corner of the frame to be and then press This keystroke. When This keystroke is pressed twice quickly, it will position the new frame on the current control and start the Frame Viewer.

One of the characteristics of frames is to speak on changing content.
Good Luck!

Tom,

You have to be very specific in how you search for this item, as follows:

Open an email message in Outlook and place focus in it. The “Layout table” item won’t appear otherwise.

Press JAWS key+v.

An edit field appears.

Type the six letters t a b l e s.

Now press enter.

Arrow down until JAWS verbalizes “Layout table, ignore.”

Once there, press the spacebar to cycle between checked or unchecked. You want the item checked.

I hope it makes a difference on your system. Sadly, it hasn’t on mine.

Hello,

I use the custom labels very often on websites so I had some .msi-files with a size of about 37kb.

This morning, without any warning I think, some msi-files where overwritten with a empty msi-file.

So, all the custom labels are lost.

Since the files are not in the trash on my system, I think jaws did a overwrite.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future:

Can i find somewhere any logs about this to inform freedom scientific / vispero?
