Yes, I have made it simple to keep updated with the latest scripts so no
more announcements need to be made. If you are out of date, it will
automatically initiate the download for you. If you are fine, there are no
nags or pop up wihndows.
Download it here:
www.BlindTunes.net/BlindTunes1.3.4Setup.exe
Cheers,
John Martyn

Hi David,

That works fantastic! Just remember to just continue to do a windows+C to
append to clip board, after you have started the append to clip board up
and have started to clear it with this shortcut. I have me a brand new
hotkey.

Re: JAWS append to clip board

Dave...

David,

Elegant. I learned something new from you. But in reality this just adds
another step to the process of clearing the clipboard. To me it's simpler
just to answer yes to the prompt to clear. Closing that dialog, launching
the hotkey combination and then again pressing Ctrl+C is a lot of extra
work.

But still I learned something.

Re: Accessible stop watch software

Dani Pagador

Hi, Dondi.
Cliff S. sent the following sometime last year re Ed M.'s question about a timer pgm accessible with JFW:
"I've been using Steve's Talking Clock for years.

http://clock.steve-audio.net/

It's versatile, Jaws-friendly, and features all kinds of sounds and voices. And best of all, it will do exactly what you want it to do."

I think the pgm is $10.

But if you've got either an iPhone or iTouch, there's a stopwatch pgm there. Dunno how to use it, but I'm sure it'd be accessible to me once I learned the finger movement thing. Right now I'm bogged down with homework for my keyboard class, so that's not on my to-do list, but I'm digressing.
HTH,
Dani

I personally don't mind it if the topic that's being discussed isn't
too far off topic. Usually I just delete the ones that are off topic,
but I've gradually seen an increase in the off topic messages in the
past few months. I don't normally get involved in telling people what
they can post and what they can't, but this is getting a little out of

Subject: JAWS append to clip board

Hi Everyone,

Is there a shortcut key to delete what's on the JAWS append to clip board?
I'm getting kind of tired of this warning message every time I want to
start
a new series of text copies.

Hi David,

Thanks, the control+C does work for me. I just thought that since it always
brings up a warning message that maybe I should be clearing the clip board
first by another method. I don't like warning messages, it's usually a sign
your not doing something quite right.

Hello there;
The run command;
clipbrd
will not work in windows 7.
If you want a shortcut to
Clear the clipboard,
Try the following.
Note, I haven't tried this myself,
Since,
If I have appended the clipboard, a, ctrl+c will allow you to clear current
text, and copy new content.

Create a Shortcut Icon to Clear the Clipboard

Right-click on the desktop or elsewhere, and choose New \ Shortcut from the
menu.

Then in the shortcut location box, enter the following command:

cmd /c “echo off | clip”

At this point you’ll have an icon that will immediately clear the clipboard…
but we can tweak it a bit further.

Right-click on the icon and choose Properties, and then change the Run
drop-down to “Minimized” to make sure you don’t see the command prompt. You
can also
assign a shortcut key here.

If you click the Change Icon button and then browse down to this file, you
can find a clipboard icon:

%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll

Now we’ve got a nice-looking icon that will clear out the clipboard:

Hi Dondi,

The only way I know of to clear the clipboard is to do the following;
1. Press Windows Key + R, for the run dialogue.
2. Type ; clipbrd

& press enter.
3. Press Alt + E, for the edit, arrow up or down to delete, & press enter.
If you get a confirmation message, okay it.
4. Press Alt + F, for the file menu, arrow up or down to exit, & press
enter.

I'll be damned! Finally a freaking Jaws question! Hope this helps. Take
care.

I personally don't mind it if the topic that's being discussed isn't
too far off topic. Usually I just delete the ones that are off topic,
but I've gradually seen an increase in the off topic messages in the
past few months. I don't normally get involved in telling people what
they can post and what they can't, but this is getting a little out of
hand.
If you wish to contact James in some other way besides email there is
a thread that says contacting the list admin James or something like
that.

Though I do have to admit that seeing where all of you are from is very
informative. I just don't think this list is the place for it.

I realize some people object to this thread because it's not about
jaws and I guess that's fair enough.

What I would say is that it's a thread.

It's clearly labelled.

It's not as though we decided to discuss our personal lives in the
middle of a thread about say jaws and office.

If you don't like it just ignore the thread. delete it now and again,
if that's what suit's ya!!!

Aside from the chattiness of this thread, I find it interesting. Now
what I'd like to know is: where in the world is James Homuth? Where
in the world is Jessica McTiernan? Our MIA moderators.

Hi Everybody,

I hear from time to time of people on the list who are from many
places around the world. I was just wondering if those far and near
to me would like to say where they are from?

I'm from:

Phoenix, Arizona United States, the call my city the valley of the sun.

Denise,

First, what version of Word, what version of JAWS? Have you tried unloading

Subject: Problems reading a Word document

The computer has started saying “down arrow” or “up arrow” etc., rather than
reading the actual Word document. Can you help me figure out what I need to
do? Is there a change of settings I need to make in Word? In JAWS?

Thanks for any help.
