Hi,

Using: Latest W10 Home 64 bit and Jaws 2020.

I just received a Black Friday offer to purchase the latest Casper Drive Backup program for half price  but there was no version number mentioned.

Has anyone tried the latest version of this program with Jaws?

A few versions ago backing up the drive could be managed but then it became unuseable so am wondering if things have changed for the better.

Thanks

Tom

Norma,

The solution for me is the JAWS refresh, or repaint, command, insert-escape.
I've just been using this on a form, where I'm reminded that it sometimes
causes JAWS to lose its place. However, it's the most reliable way I've
found to read content I've typed into an edit field.

Hi group,

Jaws 2019 with Inventoria by NCH Software. After I have inserted text into
an edit field, if I tab back to that field the text is not automatically
spoken by Jaws. The only way I can read the text is to use a standard
reading command like Insert num pad 2 or control left or right arrow key.
I'm using beginner verbosity, but I suspect I need to change something in
Jaws settings. If anyone can help out, I would appreciate it muchly.

Thanks,
Norma

Dave,

In Waterfox, go to Tools & arrow down to Options. In the Options tab, your focus will be placed in a box containing various options including General & Security. Arrow down to Security & press Tab about 5 times. You will land on a checkbox for “Remember Login Passwords”. Uncheck that box & Waterfox will no longer ask to remember passwords.

Hi Dave,

To be totally honest, navigating the Waterfox menues with Jaws is a total pain in the A**!  You have to constantly toggle the virtual cursor on / off because if you tell the virtual cursor to stay turned off for all applications, it doesn't.  At least this is my experience.  When I want to change any settings in the Waterfox menues I use NVDA and it navigates the menues flawlessly.

Hi Dave,

Okay, give this a try:
1. With Waterfox open press, Alt + T, for Tools & press the letter, O, for Options.
2. Tab 1 time and press, Insert + Z, to turn the virtual cursor off.  You now should be on the, General tab.  Every time you down arrow to another tab the virtual cursor will turn itself on, so down arrow and press, Insert + Z, to turn the virtual cursor off, but if you want to tab through any particular tab leave the virtual cursor on to make any changes to your settings.
3. So, in short, turn the virtual cursor off to navigate between tabs and leave the virtual cursor turned on to navigate within the tabs to make settings changes.  All the settings are either checkboxes or comboboxes.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Rams!
