No, Jaws versions are independent from each other and if you install Jaws 2019 on your system which has Jaws 2018 and you then also install Jaws 2020 (still in Beta probably for another 3 weeks or so) then you would simply have 3 versions of Jaws on your system.

I am currently taking a network course at Capella University online. For me,
the practice labs are inaccessible and some of the virtual simulations.
However to combat this, I use VMware, Windows server 2016)trial is free for
180day with 5resets or on eBay less than $50), PuTTY as my SSH/Telnet
client, Windows 10 pro(on eBay less than $30), and a Cisco kit(for CCNA,

So, what's the legal or ethical status.

Can I find legal keys online or best to purchase from the Microsoft store.

I noticed they also have a video editor. Only problem is JAWS does not work with it that much if at all. I don't expect it to describe the video, but, at least tell me when it is recording and where in the recording it is, beginning or end.

Hey Dave.

Goldwave is accessible and will do a lot of what you want from an audio editor. It is not super-advanced, but there's loads of stuff you can do with it, and I've by n o means used all of its features. You'll like it.

Scripts are not *necessary*. But if you have them, they will give you a bit more feedback about things. That's mostly what they're for. So there's nothing internal in the programme that you couldn't accomplish without them, but if you want JAWS to tell you a bunch of stuff about what's going on, where you are, etc, the scripts are handy to have. I guess you could think of it kind fo in the analogue sense where you have a whole bunch of meters and such that, normally, you wouldn’t' bea ble to read -- you could still use a machine to do a lot of work, but you won't know where any of the gauges are at -- the scripts help with that.

This may be an app specific setting, like for MS Word.  And, that app specific setting can likewise be particular to one version of JAWS but not another, like in your situation.  Check your app settings for whatever app is causing this problem, such as those for MS word.  There, a specific setting does exist to speak document format conditions.  That MS Word setting may carry into other MS Office apps as well, such as Outlook, and vis-a-versa.

This could be  your speech scheme. Press jaws+alt+S to open the "Select a scheme" dialog. If your scheme name has the word "attributes" in it, that would be the reason you are hearing this. If you want JAWS to tell you Bold and Italic, but not normal, I believe this is obtainable.
