moderated how do i attach a document to e mail using webmail?

David Ingram

Hi list members, i'd like to know how can I attatch a document to a message using webmail? What is the best way to go about it? I would appreciate any information that anyone might have because i'm trying to do this before or by this coming Tuesday morning. Thank you.

moderated outlook and jaws,

someone on another list has this outlook issue,

sometimes, when I pass the cursor over a message in the inbox, JAWS says If you have any trouble reading this message open it in a web browser.

the person is using outlook 2016, I'm using this version not seeing/hearing that behavior.

Hi Michael,

Okay, try these steps.
1. Press, Insert + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard to open the Settings Center, now press, control, shift , + D, to open the
Settings Center Default All Applications.

2. Down arrow to, Speech Verbosity closed, right arrow to open.  Down arrow 1 time to hear what Verbosity Level you're running.

3. Down arrow to, Configure Verbosity Levels closed, right arrow to open.

4. Down arrow to the level you're running, Beginner..., and press the spacebar to open.  Note, do not press enter because if you press enter Settings Center will think you're done and close, so use the spacebar.

5. You're now in a list of options, so down arrow to, Position information, press the spacebar to uncheck this.

6. Tab to, Okay, press the spacebar, again tab to, Okay, and press enter to save your change and close the Settings Center.

Howdy,

Try the following:
To stop Jaws from reading the number of an item while arrowing thru a list,
Go to the Jaws settings center default all applications, then speech verbosity, then configuration.
In the list of items, (number 17) position information, uncheck the box, and
save your settings on the way out.
Jaws will still announce the location / number of the item when using the say-all or say current line command.
This worked for me in Jaws 2019.

My JAWS version is 2019, latest build.  It seems, so far, that re-booting has fixed this problem.

I believe that lowering the Jaws verbosity from the beginner level may help.
I usually leave it at this level, but I change the level of what it announces, to custom announcements instead of all, but I too hear the number of items on the desktop, and I would not want to not hear this.
But to change it from beginner, open the jaws menu by entering on the Jaws icon on the desktop and go into help and up arrow to startup wizard, and you can just press next until you get to the below screen, and you can change it from beginner and that should help.

Hi Justin,
Which browser did you have trouble downloading music?
I downloaded a song a few months back, and it wasn't a difficult experience.
I used Chrome.
The only complaint I had which I submitted when I got a request from Amazon to rate my purchase was that the song I paid for and downloaded was recorded in only 128 bit quality, and I would expect at least 192 bit quality for this, I prefer 320 bit.
Since it's been a couple months, I cannot tell you the steps, but it might require listening to the word link when we are looking for something to download.

Hello Group,

I have been an Amazon prime member for a number of years and have considered setting up a payed subscription to this service, though as a prime member, I have access to a fairly extensive music library at no cost.

Earlier today, I identified a song through Amazon music and after pressing enter on the title, I attempted to locate a download link using the tab key. As the tabs were labeled as graphics, I wasn’t sure which one to select as a download key.

I was able to download the track through assistance  from the Microsoft helpline.

Is there an accessible work-around to access amazon music?

I would appreciate any assistance.

You can set up your notifications in facebook so that you receive your messages and other notifications via email. That way, you can read and respond to your messages via email. However, the last time I was using this system, and that was a while ago, you couldn't initiate chats/messages via email.

My sister used the email notifications to communicate with us on Facebook when she was in China for a holiday a couple of years ago. Facebook is banned there but she could respond to messages and comments via email.

But Alexa devices don’t only support Amazon Music whether limited to what you get with Prime which is about 1 Million tracks or what you get with the additional Amazon Music Unlimited subscription which here in Canada is $8.95 Canadian.

I was so happy when I just read in my Alexa newsletter that apple Music was finally supported here in Canada. Alexa devices have always supported Spotify and Deezer so if you have a subscription with one of those services you could have easily enabled that and set Spotify or Deezer as your primary music source, then when you ask Alexa to play a particular song, artist, album, station or playlist it would come from your selected service.

In the US Apple Music has been available in the same way I think for about a year and now that it is available in Canada I can finally cancel my Amazon Music Unlimited membership and put that money towards the new Disney or Apple TV offering which is soon coming here, most likely we’ll get both anyways, but my wife and I have had our Apple Music family subscription for years and it’s still our preferred streaming service. Now that we can simply ask Alexa to play something that is a big bonus. Now I just wish Amazon would hurry along and offer family accounts here in Canada as well, Audible finally arrived a couple of years ago and starting about 1 year ago it was more or less on par with respect to what books were available here and in the US and we get most of the promotions now as well except that I think there still is no Platinum membership which gives you 2 credits a month. But otherwise Audible Canada is a really good deal because the monthly 1 credit membership is $14.95 Canadian, same as what it is in the States in US Dollars despite the fact that currently there is a good 30% difference in value, nice to see that finally a company isn’t simply using the exchange rate to come up with a higher amount for their service.

Hello,

Amazon Music is generally accessed via a Streaming App or Device such as any of Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices or the Amazon Alexa App.  I personally am a huge fan of Amazon Music and enjoy owning a number of Alexa-enabled devices.

I haven’t attempted to listen directly from the Amazon site.

There is an Alexa App for Windows 10 as well which one could use.

To get prime music you have to pay for it. I know that because I have a prime membership.   Which I have, the $8 per month more then covers the cost of shipping.  Some items the shipping costs more then the actual item itself.  I also enjoy the access to movies.  Anyway, unless I am missing something you want to charge others for a service that you have to pay for.  Is kind of like the person that bought a big box of batteries at a $ store then turned around and sold them at a marked up price at his garage sale.

This could be  your speech scheme. Press jaws+alt+S to open the "Select a scheme" dialog. If your scheme name has the word "attributes" in it, that would be the reason you are hearing this. If you want JAWS to tell you Bold and Italic, but not normal, I believe this is obtainable.

I have the same problem in the 2020 beta latest update but it goes away when I go back to my JAWS 2019. It happens in Office 365 on every line in Word as I arrow down. What a pain.
