Use the Windows search box, enter the title of the CD, and press enter. It should find that folder; arrow down through the list until you get to it. Press the applications key (right click or shift + f10 if you lack an applications key), and press enter on "go to folder", or something similar. That should launch File Explorer. Once that opens, you can use the F6 key to get to the path, and then you will know where Windows has been storing those ripped CDs.

One thing you can do with Jaws is to press insert +
number pad 2 while still holding the shift key, or before letting go of the
shift key, this will tell you what is currently selected.
You mentioned that you checked to see what was
highlighted, but I am not sure if you used the above command to check
this.

getting rid of inline objects in word

jfw and problem deleting more files than I want!!!;

Well I have
noticed a problem with Jaws and deleting files. I had four files on a
thumb drive I wanted to get rid of. I highlighted them and then hit the
delete key. Well, all my files, (not folders) were deleted from the thumb
drive. I was able to recover most of them, but it took a lot of time and
work and worry!!!
I then tried
it on another thumb drive with NVDA....no problem, worked great!
Then I went
back to Jaws and voila....it happened again, although this time I was ok.
Anyone have this kind of issue? BTW can anyone recommend a good back up
program that works with Jaws.
BTW I am
using Windows 7 (up to date) and the latest and greatest version of Jaws.
From now on...I think I will delete one file at a time, rather than multiple
file delete.
BTW I used
the following to delete:
shift...down
arrow and then delete
and I checked
and highlighted ONLY the 4 files to delete...thanks.

Thanks for responding. I am trying to use the Publix site, not delivery or pickup. JAWS tells me “buttons”, but not what they are for. I have tried IE and Firefox.

Are you using the Publix site or arranging for pickup or delivery using InstaCart? I did a quick search on publix.com and was able to read the search results. In order to use online shopping of any form, pickup or delivery, you end up using the Instacart site. I didn’t test that, though I understand it is accessible. I’m using JAWS 2019 and Chrome. The usual suggestions are, try with a different browser and a different screen reader and see if you get different results.

I’d like to apologize to the list. I did not intend for people’s efforts to purchase Windows Keyboard Power User Guide to generate list traffic. I will not mention the book on the list in the foreseeable future. However it gives me a chance to talk about an annoyance I’ve been having that I suppose I should report, and which is in no way limited to my page.
I see one reason why people could have problems. I have seen this in various places. Using semi-auto forms mode, on a page with a search box or other edit fiend at the top, if I arrow down through that field, when I exit the edit field, I am summarily dropped to the bottom of the page. This does not happen on the same pages when arrowing in and out of the edit field with NVDA. It probably would also not happen if using manual forms mode.
The solution, on this and other pages, is not to arrow, even though it seems to me that one ought to be able to do so. The best thing to do on my page is to press E for edit fields, followed by B for button when you find the one you want. Pressing tab also avoids the problem.

They will be using windows server 2012 or later. So what accessible server software is out there that works with jaws, nvda, windows narrator. Any one used this software. Just want a heads up. One can create perfectly accessible forms with Microsoft Word, but it seems virtually no one knows how to do it.
Here's a very simple one I created several years ago for someone working at a local school. She needed to be able to fill out what they call "bus notes" that allowed a student to vary from the normal routine. Every checkbox and form field is announced as you tab through the document that is created by using this form template as its basis. Having it selected and hitting enter should open Word with "Document 1" having been created, which is an un-filled-out bus note. Sample Bus Note Form Document Template (dotx) There are many fillable PDF forms that are accessible, and others that are not because adequate labeling of the various checkboxes, edit boxes, radio buttons has not been done. I am assuming you are referring to the Windows calculator. If not, disregard my message.
Once the calculator is open and you want to enter your numbers, I usually use the numbers above the letters, but I would assume you could use the num pad. Anyhow the Plus is the plus on the top row. The minus is the dash on the top row. Multiply is the * above the 8 and divide is the forward slash at the bottom row. Delete clears the field. Enter acts as the equals. You can perform with multiple numbers like 1 + 3+8 etc. anytime you want to know what is the field information use the JAWS read current line hot key.
This works for both Windows 7 and 10.
I have never tried to go in more depth than this, so there could be more.

Has anyone had any success with accessible form creation software. I was sent a form from the government. They claim that it is accessible to screen readers, but that is not actually factual. It is as accessible as Donald Trumps tax records. If anyone can help in this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.
