Re: Is This Problem a JAWS or a Browser Problem?

I’ve just found out that it is due to the fact that I did not choose a security preference. Once I chose the preference, that solved the problem.

I'm sorry you are continuing to have problems. Interestingly, in my case, I shut down my computer late last night, and re-booted this morning, and now, all seems normal again. I'm not sure why I experienced my issue for a while yesterday, but I suspect it has something to do with the recent Office 365 update. Tom Behler

I have not been able to find a resolution even with sighted help. Would also like to know if anyone has an answer. I had been using the accessible "light version" before the update and I no longer see this in the settings menu. --Marla

Howdy Glenn,
His replies aren't top posted.
Arrow down through the message and you'll find what he's talking about.
Personally, if someone doesn't top post their, original or, reply, it gets
deleted. Someone asking for help shouldn't make it hard for someone to get
to their question.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool. Go dodgers! I believe that everything happens for a reason. Usually, the reason is that somebody screwed up.

Has anyone written jaws scripts for the latest version of spyware blaster?
David Ingram
Hi llist members, i'd like to know if anyone has written jaws scripts for spyware blaster the latest version? If not, I'd like to know if someone would be so kind as to write jaws scripts for this program. It seems that a lot of things have changed since I first used this program and it seems that the graphics and buttons are not properly labeled It seems that the autographics labeler doesn't work in situations like this. Thank you for any information that you might have as to how to fix the problems as I've tried to list them here..

I have wondered since XP if we would ever be doing that again. Glenn

I think for us, we can only access the php.ini file by going into the wamp directory\bin\CurrentlyUsedPhpVersion, so for example if you are using php7.3.5, then go in to that directory, locate the php.ini file and edit it to your needs. I hav searched through the available menus present on the server management icon on the system tray but cannot find any menu item that allows us to edit the php.ini file through there. Cheers!

Hi Rick,
It may be that it is remembering your password, and
when you type in your password, you are entering two instances in the same
field.
Try doing control + A and then delete before typing
in your password.
Sometimes it seems like nothing is there when you
arrow in the field, but I think there sometimes is.
HTH.

Is This Problem a JAWS or a Browser Problem?
Rick Miller
Dear Listers:
Over the weekend I upgraded my Internet browser from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome. I am finding that whenever I open up Google Chrome and try to log in to certain web sites, even though I enter the correct username and password at the site’s log-on screen I will not be logged into the site and I wind up at the log-on page again. I am using Google Chrome as my Internet browser. I have made it my default browser. I am using Windows 10 and the latest version of JAWS, JAWS 2019. Is the reason I am not being logged in related to JAWS or is it a browser problem?

Re: Accessible Server Software
HH. Smith Jr.
Hi,
I have never used Wordpress, but when I had a consumer learning JAWS, we used notepad++ and a somewhat good tutorial at W3schools.com. If you want to try out server 2016 or 2019, you can download the iso file at the windows evaluation center and use the software for 180days with six resets for a total of 1080days or purchase it for pennies on the dollar on ebay for less than 30bucks. However, when installing the software, you will need sighted assistance if you’re planning to run it in a virtual environment. Like I said, once it is installed, NVDA and narrator works well with it if you don’t want to shell out the additional 200 bucks for JAWS with remote access. You will need to create an account, but it is free.HTH

Re: Best headset for use with Jaws and call center
David Diamond
Perhaps pairing the hearing aids if he wears them would work. I don't know if this would work because when I have to listen to JAWS and am on a call, I am alone. I can either have the computer going through speakers or my aid and then have the call on speaker phone. The best suggestion I have is, talk to an audiologist about this problem. They were the ones that suggested pairing the iPhone with my hearing aids via blue tooth. Of course if no aid is worn, I don't know what to suggest. My sister has aids but refuses to wear them. "WHAT!" is her fraise of choice.
