Hi Lou,
Here are a couple of things you can try to see
if they help. It's the same setting change, but 1 changes the setting per
application and the other makes the say all change across all
applications.
For an individual application: 1. While in the application / program press,
Insert + V, to open quick settings.
2. Navigate to the, Say All options, and right
arrow to open if closed.
3. Arrow down to, Say all reads by..., and here
you press the spacebar to toggle through your choices. Below are your
choices.
Line without pauses
1 of 4 Line with pauses 2 of 4 Sentence 3 of 4 Paragraph 4 of 4 4. After making your selection tab to, Okay, press enter to save and
close.
For all applications:
1. Open the Settings Center in either of these 2 ways.
A. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard. B. Press, Insert / Jaws Key + F2, to open the, Jaws Manager, arrow down, to Settings Center, & press enter. With the Settings Center open press, control, shift , + D, to open the Settings Center Default All Applications. 2. Down arrow to, Say All options, and right
arrow to open.
3. Down arrow 1 time and you will find the same
thing as in step# 3 from above, so use the steps from above to make
changes. If you make any changes tab to, Apply, press the spacebar, tab
to, Okay, press enter to save and close.

LinkedIn's desktop site is mostly accessible but it may seem complex as there's a lot to the site. There may be things that they could do to improve the accessibility but I actually find it easier to navigate than the mobile app. The desktop site does, at
least, make use of headings, which makes navigation a lot faster. LinkedIn is actually a very valuable networking tool. If you're interested in networking or in finding your next job I can't recommend it highly enough. Spend a lot of time building your profile
with details regarding your work, skills and other accomplishments. Share interesting articles both to your timeline as well as to relevant groups of interest. Join groups which match your interest and participate by sharing articles and, when possible, by
answering questions from other users. If you do these things you are bound to get connection requests regularly. Once you establish connections you can then connect with some of their connections which match your interests and aspirations. While I wouldn't
promise that job opportunities will fall into your lap you may well get offers from recruiters who have discovered your profile because of certain keywords they were searching for. This is why your profile shouldn't just contain the companies you've worked
for. Instead, add details about each role you've had, mentioning names of specific products you've used or specific terms regarding your duties for that particular role. I can assure you that LinkedIn, if used properly, is not a gimmick and it will not be
a waste of your time.

I think maybe a short audio demo/tutorial on this would be most helpful. Is it possible, for example, to change the source of the audio, or are we stuck with whatever comes through the default Windows audio device? If this works well and is reliable, then maybe things like OBS Studio wouldn't be necessary. I would much prefer something where I can talk along with what my screenreader is saying so I can explain what's about to happen, or what is happening, as I demonstrate.

Sorry, it's one of many such settings not included for user control. That, along with being able to construct dictionary pronunciation of foreign words JAWS just can't handle, or doesn't handle well. I think this latter is more an Eloquence thing than a JAWS thing, but then again, I have not seen this particular capability available in any other text-to-speech system except DECTalk, and even then, you get just so much and then there is no more. For example, I read a lot of things that have Japanese words and/or names in them. No matter how I try to respell those, no text-to-speech system I have ever used has done what I would consider to be even a passable job at rendering these repronunciations.

The other nice thing about the Game Bar recording is that by default it records just the active window so items from other windows you might have open won’t appear. As I said for me, it has become my go to way for making screen recordings.

Neat. That game bar turns out to be more useful than I at first thought. I knew you can take screenshots with it, but was unaware it had a record feature. Makes sense, though. There are so many PC game playthrougs on youtube and I suppose nowadays a lot of them probably use this method.

Depending on the computer, you can also use the Windows Game Bar to do this recording. From the application where you want to record, press win+g. You may have to answer a check box saying to treat the app like a game. Then you can use win+alt+r to start and stop recording. There are also options to include the microphone.
This requires Windows 10 but it is what I use most often these days.

Camtasia is OK, but I had a lot of difficulty configuring it and making it work to the point where the video was actually usable. Either too big or too small, sometimes I recorded and got blank (black) screens, so I uninstalled it. OBS Studio is what you need. Agree however, as we all know Jaws does not work perfectly for everything. I am an avid Jaws user and for Linkedin and facebook I use my Apple iphone with voice over active and I have a great experience mavigating both. To be honest, I believe both of these products are geared towards mobile devices.

Indeed, this gives me a chance to learn something new.
In the Settings Center, locate Configure Verbosity Levels, and configure the level for your current verbosity level. The item count setting is spoken by default if you use beginner or intermediate verbosity, and not if you use advanced verbosity.
When you enter the Configure Speech Verbosity dialog, the first of the check boxes you encounter is Announce Position and Count while Navigating in Lists. Uncheck it, and activate the OK button.
