You can try Seven Zip instead. Enable context menus and you can right click the folder and zip it. Or highlight all the files and right click them also..

Hi,
Not that I am aware. You could take the OCR from the JAWS viewer , paste into a Word document and then print but there would be no formatting or the like. Also, does your scanner have a copy or save to pdf function? If so, JAWS may be able to read the controls for the scanner software and thus copy without the use of OpenBook. With the advent of Microsoft's Seeing AI and K NFB reder and advances in JAWS OpenBook may indeed be on the way out. I do wish they would try an update however as it has ben years.

Smack both shift keys several times, but not too many to bring on stickey keys dialog.  This is a problem that used to happen all the time with certain keyboard controllers chips.  Usually reboot is not necessary.

Alt+f=file,
T=options,
M=mail,
Alt+n=signature, press enter,
here you land on ok button, shift+tab you land on the edit button,
you can edit here,
make sure you then enter on the ok button.

Have you tried to tab once or twice past the edit field for the signature and then Shift+Ta back into it? At one point this worked for me, I checked it right now and for me Jaws 2019 reads the text of my signature, but I am using Office 365.

Percussive maintenance often works: Place one hand on each shift key and bang them alternately about ten times. If you haven't rebooted yet and percussion doesn't work, reboot.
good luck!

And, as I think I noted yesterday, the problem seems to have lessened in occurrence recently.

I’m hoping it was only temporary.

Hello, everyone.

I am not sure if this a Jaws or an Outlook problem, but I am experienceing strange and inconsistent behavior in Outlook with regard to  noting e-mails that I have replied to.

Up until recently, if I replied to an e-mail, and decided to keep the original e-mail in my inbox, that e-mail would have a “replied” designation associated with it.  I find this to be quite handy, especially when I have e-mails that require multiple responses or action steps.

However, within  the past week or so, I no longer consistently receive these “replied” designations.  In other words, sometimes I receive the designations, while other times, I do not.

This is a problem, since I sometimes can’t recall whether I’ve initially replied to a message, and have to go back into my sent file to find out for sure.

Does anyone know how to consistently restore the “replied” designation on e-mails to which I’ve already responded?

I’m currently using the latest build of Jaws 2019 with the Office 365 version of Outlook 2016, and Windows 10.

Thank you!
