Hi,
Did you use the jaws cursor to see the backup progress?
The backblaze website updates every day or two, so far as I know,
and not every minute or even every hour.
You also need to keep your pc turned on and make sure it doesn't
go to sleep.

Hi
I have it set to backup my C &
D drives, but according to the iOS app, it’s not
making any progress.
Jaws won’t tell me anything either,
other than announcing a “pause backup” button.
Are
there Jaws scripts for this program? If so, where can
I get them?

You can download a zip file
of any size for free. It’ll just take longer if
it’s a large one, which is why they recommend
the hard drive. It’ll let you download a 4 TB
zip file, but I wouldn’t want to be the one
downloading it.
Hi,
How big are the zip files you
can download for free?
I’m thinking of trying it.
Thanks,

I didn't know that you were

What would you do with it,

How much does it cost to

Re: Enable Editing button in a protected spread sheet
What you described and were looking for is not strictly speaking the button to unprotect a spreadsheet which was protected. A spreadsheet can be protected or certain cells can be protected with or without a password and that is the option
which was described under the Home tab.
What you were looking for, the Enable Editing, is simply a way to safeguard against potential issues which can arise from spreadsheets you get via email, you can also enable editing by pressing F12 and saving them first, this will prompt
you to enable saving and after doing that you can also edit the spreadsheet.

Re: Please Write JAWS Scripts For Medisoft billing software And, Medisoft Clinical Software by MICROWISE
You did write this before. I'm not sure what exactly is behind wanting scripts written for, what appears to be nothing. The fact is, nothing or few things in this world are free. Even applying for government grants to get assistive aids such as JAWS, you have to put forth the effort to write up the request in the proper language.

Re: Now, sometimes I cannot convert to OCR an image PDF document
Well, this sounds like the same problem I had a while back after
an upgrade of either jaws or adobe. Go into preferences in adobe,
to enhanced security and disable theprotected mode at startup.

Hello List,
There are two ways to use the Jaws OCR to convert an
image PDF file.
I have noticed a change when trying one
way, the other still works.
I recently had to switch to a new hard
disk. This meant I had to download and install: Windows 10
version 1809, the latest Jaws 2019 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
v19.10.200.
Before this complete upgrade, I could
open a PDF image file either as a Thunderbird attachment or by
pressing ENTER on the PDF file in the directory tree. There
was then a Yes/No prompt for Jaws to do the OCR of the
document.
Now, there is no “alert empty document”
message nor is there the prompt to do the OCR.
I get the Virtual cursor. It is a blank
window but the Jaws plus page-down command gives: Start free
trial.
When I turn off the Virtual cursor and
start the OCR with
Jaws plus space bar
then o.
Pressing “d” (for a document), I get:
OCR failed to start.
Pressing “w” (for a window), gives me
the OCR converted text.
The PDF document is converted but,
On the right of some lines are these
statements:
Create PDF
Edit PDF
With Acrobat Pro DC
Start free trial
The second way to convert PDF to text,
still works. Highlight the PDF file in the directory tree or
File Explorer,
the applications key has: select
“convenient OCR with Jaws”.
When I do an OCR of the window, the PDF
and Pro DC message share the window. This seems to prevent
Jaws from converting the PDF document.
How do I get rid of the start free
trial with Acrobat Pro DC?
Thanks,
Peter T.

Hi I have it set to backup my C & D drives, but according to the iOS app, it’s not making any progress. What do I do? Jaws won’t tell me anything either, other than announcing a “pause backup” button. Are there Jaws scripts for this program? If so, where can I get them?

main@jfw.groups.io Calendar <noreply@...>
List Rules
When:
Monday, 1 April 2019
12:00am to 1:00am
(GMT-04:00) America/New York
Description:
The following is the current version of the JFW Mailing List policies. These are sent out monthly, and also available from: http://groups.io/g/jfw/wiki/List-Policies **List Policies** 1: Keep it clean. We're a family list, and there are people here who probably don't want to hear everything *exactly* that's running through your head. If you wouldn't see it on TV, it doesn't belong in a post to the list. If you're not sure, email the administration before you post it to the list. Otherwise, you stand to see your posts moderated. 2: Stay on topic. We're a JFW-oriented list. That said, anything related to JFW, its functionality with programs etc is acceptable. If it doesn't have to do with JFW, it doesn't belong on the list. This includes, but isn't limited to, talk of other screen readers such as Window Eyes. 3: Listen to, and respect, the wishes of the admins/moderators. If you're asked by an admin or moderator to drop a subject, or take something to private emails (in the instance of two people carrying on a thread list-wide), please do so. If the subject is changed on a thread by an admin or moderator, it will be explained why in the email sent out with it. Please don't continue replying to the old subject. 4: Don't ask over the list for a position on the list administration. If you'd like to help out, it's of course welcome, but address the request to do so to the admin team, otherwise it'll be ignored. Requests are always welcome, whether help is being looked for or not. When help is needed, a post will be made to the list. The requests already received will be kept in mind. 5: Keep flaming to a minimum. This is not limited to flaming of each other, but goes beyond that, to flaming of products, opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc. Constructive criticism never hurts. Flame wars, especially public ones, both drive people from this list and are unwelcome here. either take the problem to private emails, or report the problem to list administration. 6. Respect the opinions and views of others. This is *very* important in any environment, most especially an online environment where the only gage one has on a person is what that person puts to writing. If you come off as hostile in your posting, whether you intended to or not, people will take it as such. Online, "face value" means just that. People make mistakes, people don't always have access to the same information you do. For that matter, people don't always have the same experience you do. If you know how someone can solve their problem, great. Suggest it to them and/or the list. Do *not* proceed to tell someone, on or off list, that they have no business posting. Repeat offenders of this particular rule will be banned for a week to 30 days, depending on the severity. Serious problems will be banned permanently. As always, if there are problems or questions with regards these policies, don't hesitate to send them off-list to jfw+owner@groups.io James, List Admin

Re: Please Write JAWS Scripts For Medisoft billing software And, Medisoft Clinnical Software by MICROWISE
I think I replied to your message before, but I don't think anybody is going to write scripts for these applications for free. There are people and businesses out there who make a living writing scripts and often this involves dozens and potentially hundreds of hours of work. If you want to explore whether these applications can be made accessible with scripts, you will have to contact one of these companies, but even an evaluation may not be free, I once contacted somebody about scripts for my point of sale software for my retail business and I was told an evaluation would probably be around $2,000 and finished scripts could easily run $10,000 to $15,000.

You do have to tell it which drives to back up. But I think it backs up your c: drive automatically. Hi, Do I have to connect a drive to my computer in order to use backblaze? Or will it just backup to backblaze itself without a hard-drive? Thanks, Jessica You can download a zip file of any size for free. It’ll just take longer if it’s a large one, which is why they recommend the hard drive. It’ll let you download a 4 TB zip file, but I wouldn’t want to be the one downloading it. Hi, How big are the zip files you can download for free? I’m thinking of trying it. Thanks, Jessica Sent from Mail for Windows 10 They don't have a phone number. They do have about 45000000000000 pages of documentation online, including prices for drive shipments. As I don't have exact figures handy just at the moment, you might start at their website. -----Original Message----- From: main@jfw.groups.io <main@jfw.groups.io> On Behalf Of Jessica D Sent: January-17-19 5:01 PM To: main@jfw.groups.io Subject: Re: Backblaze?
