Drop box not reading with Jaws in the system tray
John J. Fioravanti, Jr.
Good morning: I am using Windows 10 with Jaws 2018. In the system tray drop box isn't reading with jaws, although my sighted legal assistant says it's in there. Any suggestions to get Jaws to read this in the system tray?
Thank you.

Should work if you just hit enter from the list box too, no need to tab I think.

Hello.

J = jump to file Ctrl-j = jump to time. J is the one you want for selecting from within a playlist. Ctrl-j is what you want to pick the time to move play within a track to.

Re: Winamp Question if allowed to ask
Mario
you'd type the number of minutes followed by a colon followed by the
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
number of seconds, and press enter. if the amount of time you want to "jump to" is more than an hour, I think you'd have to express it as minutes. for example, if you want to "jump to" an hour and 20 minutes from the beginning of a track, you'd need to type 80:00.

A little Winamp question... While playing a track in Winamp, if I want to move it ahead while playing, I press the right arrow key and it moves it ahead a very little amount, like 5 or so seconds. Is there some setting where I can make it move ahead by a greater amount of time, and or, move the pointer as it were to the end of a song? Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Morey Worthington .

you can jump to 5 seconds before the end of a track by pressing alt plus r. You should be able to find your music with the path:
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
c users, username, music, itunes, itunes media, music
It sounds like either your iTunes isn't pointed to that folder, or you do not have music checked in iTunes so you are only seeing Voice Memos.
If you cannot sort it out, call Microsoft Accessibility.

Hi.

Looks like you might need to download a winamp plugin to increase the deefault duration of the skip forward/back keypresses, do this, but it can be done. However, most winamp plugins now are really old. A lot of them can still be found though. Trys earching for a plugin called "repeater". Looks like it will do it, but the last posts about it I found are from 2005, after a quick search.

Without knowing what kind of computer you have, or what you have checked or unchecked in iTunes; it would be very difficult to give suggestion via email.

If you have a Mac; you should call Apple Accessibility at 877-204-3930.
If a Windows machine; call Microsoft Accessibility 800-936-5900.
Whether your version of iTunes supports creating ringtones doesn't matter if you cannot find your music.
iTunes had supported making ringtones from purchased music; but I have always used third party programs.
But you need to find your music first.
