To me, it doesn’t matter which order the System Tray icons are, simply because I use JAWS key and F11 to bring up the list of System Tray icons, then press the first letter. That’s a bit easier than worrying about order, isn’t it?

Here's how I rearrange the system tray icons running Windows 10 Pro Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.379) & all installed versions of Jaws. 1. Windows key + I, for Settings, tab 1 time to System, right arrow to Personalization, and press enter. Take care. Mike. Hi, Chris. What I want to do is rearrange things in System Tray, not actually in the Taskbar, so unpinning things in the Taskbar won't work in this instance. What is actually happening is that I used to have an icon for Eset NOD32, my antivirus program, which was one of the first icons in System Tray. Now, in order to find this icon I must turn on all icons in System Tray, or, use the Notification Icon to go to the overflow section of icons in System Tray. What I want to do is rearrange the icons so that the Eset NOD32 icon is where it used to be.

Now, open the run box with windows+r and type shell:appsvolder and press enter. This will open a folder with shortcuts to all your apps. Do the equivalent of right click and pin any you want on the taskbar in the order in which you want them. CH

I abandoned the idea of "drag and drop" several generations of Jaws ago, In favor of the "cut and paste" operation. I always believed "drag and drop" to be a very unstable action, when employed using the Jaws key stroke. Beside the Key stroke (I forget what it is now) was very awkward for people with challenges effecting the full use of both hands.

Re: sorting bookmarks in Google Chrome
Orlando,
I do not know what you are actually doing, but your assertions are incorrect, plain and simple. If you have nested folders, those will not be presented in the simple dropdown after hitting CTRL+D to create a bookmark, you have to select the top level folder from that short list then hit the More button in the same dialog, which opens a full blown navigator dialog for your bookmarks folder structure. Like most things on Windows, there are multiple methods to do what you're doing, but the more complex your folder structure the less that can be initially exposed in the "short version" of the pop-up dialog for creating a bookmark. You have to use the More button when you want to drill down. I've already revised my earlier advice with regard to a 4-step process to relocate a bookmark to use copy and paste instead. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. I find that the quickest method for me, plus it feels most like IE’s old favourites bookmarks which I like. But when you are in this bookmark menu you can right click a bookmark , select cut then go to the folder you want it in and paste there. I find this helpful if I’ve just added a quick bookmark without assigning it a folder since its at the bottom of my bookmarks list and I can just then cut and paste it into the folder I want it if I decide to keep the bookmark and want to file/organise it away in some folder in my bookmarks list.
