I think, the chrome volume might be low.
open the chrome as well the volume mixer , and tab to the chrome
volume and increase the chrome volume using up/down arrow keys.

one thought I had was that the "favorites" folder in IE you can just put on the desktop and go into it when you wish to find a web site you wish to visit without typing it in as such and clicking on it there, what about the favorites or "book marks" we save in Chrome? is that possible there too?

But, Dave, you can (within each folder, or by the folder names themselves - though I don't do the latter).

If you have one of your folders open, Shift+Tab your way back to the Organize Bookmarks menu button, activate it, and the first choice is "Sort by name"

If you have subfolders in a folder, just like in File Explorer, those will be sorted first in alphabetical order followed by all the individual bookmarks themselves, sorted in alphabetical order by the names you assigned them (as doing so by URL makes virtually no sense in the vast majority of cases).

Hi, Alison. I believe that the Strong, Normal and Weak refer to gramatical
construction within the document. I would suspect that the solution for this
will be in the "proofing" section of Word, within the Options section. You
should be able to reach the options with ALT plus F, followed by the letter
T. Then, once you are in Options, arrow down to proofing.

the length of the naked address is the same length as the address of the
original link, but TB was able to give me a copy link location command
when I right clicked the naked address. however, the length is 75
characters. there is an ampersand (and sign (&)) between the =download
and id=. and this longer address does work to download the document
where as the shorter address results in a bad request message.
so, there you go. that's my observation.

Brian, I'd like to copy the address of the link to your document for
future download, and usually Thunderbird does have a copy link location
command if I right click the link, but for some reason when I right
click the link in your post below, TB doesn't have the copy link
location command. do you know why, and can I please have the address for
my note?

Orlando,

           I do not know what you are actually doing, but your assertions are incorrect, plain and simple.  If you have nested folders, those will not be presented in the simple dropdown after hitting CTRL+D to create a bookmark, you have to select the top level folder from that short list then hit the More button in the same dialog, which opens a full blown navigator dialog for your bookmarks folder structure.

           Like most things on Windows, there are multiple methods to do what you're doing, but the more complex your folder structure the less that can be initially exposed in the "short version" of the pop-up dialog for creating a bookmark.  You have to use the More button when you want to drill down.

           I've already revised my earlier advice with regard to a 4-step process to relocate a bookmark to use copy and paste instead.

Personally, I bring up the bookmarks in Chrome  by holding Alt and then pressing F, then release  both keys and press  B.  I find that the quickest method for me, plus it feels most like IE’s  old favourites bookmarks which I like. But when you are in this bookmark menu you can right click a bookmark , select cut then go to the folder you want it in and paste there. I find this helpful if I’ve just added a quick bookmark without assigning it a folder since its at the bottom of my bookmarks list and I can just then cut and paste it into the folder I want it if I decide to keep the bookmark and want to file/organise it away in  some folder in my bookmarks list.

Thanks, yes. I’m aware of this tutorial. Honestly though, I don’t think I’m that enamored enough with Twitter to pay for a tutorial. I’m generally good about figuring stuff out with help files or a little documentation, but for whatever reason, the OpenTween stuff for me at least is kind of garbled.

I know I can do trial and error, but I was feeling kind of lazy.

I'm trying to figure out what link to use/to get Office 2019 after logging into Office365.com to download the Office2019 package for Home Users.

I already have an active subscription to Office 365 and just want to be up-to-date with the latest. I understand that one should be able to download and install Office 2019 for no additional cost.

I am using Office 365 with Jaws 18 and solved the problem with alt h followed by the figure 8.

I have no idea how I enable it with such keystrokes, but this does toggle it on and off.

What version of Word are you using? I'm using the latest Office 365 version, and I did this exact same thing a few days ago. I wish I knew how it got accidentally turned on because it can really drive you crazy!

The Control+Shift+8 keystroke did work for me. Maybe closed your document and/or Word, then re-open everything and try again.

If all else fails, unload Jaws with Insert+F4, then restart Jaws again and try it.

huh. I don't think so because the zero key on the numpad acts as an insert when the numlock is off. so according to what you said, the keystroke is insert+insert.

Doesn't that seem like a lot of unnecessary work? Internet Explorer and Edge present me with all my favorites folders. Adding a new URL to any folder is as easy as selecting that folder from a combo box.

That is absolutely not true in Chrome. Chrome's bookmarks dialogue only presents me with four to six folders out of 24, which means I must save a bookmark in a temporary location, then go into the organize bookmarks dialogue and move it. At least, that works.

hi, how are you? You can do what they call rip a cd which is to take the songs that are on a cd and copy it to your computer. Yes you can do this in windows 10 go to windows media player and there is a tools menu that has rip as one of the choices. the cd will eject when the process is completed.

In Windows 7 and earlier I could use Windows Explorer or Media Player to
copy my CDs to my computer using Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste.
This appears not to work in Windows 10. I like Windows Media Player
best. These are CDs I have purchased or copied from my LP's so storing
them on my PC is legitimate. Anybody know how I can do this nowadays?
I'd prefer not to have to learn a new program but that's an option I guess.
