reading column titles automatically in excel 2010 with jaws 2018/2019
William Windels
Hello, It would be nice if the column-titles in a excel file could be spoken automatically while navigating into tables. e.g. if I am in row 73 of column t of a table, I would hear the column-title.
With jaws 2018, insert+alt+shift+c should do the job but not automatically. But, when I do insert+alt+shift+c, I hear no column title. I don’t understand this message since the first row of the document has cel-content that I can use to filter a column.
I have tried something in the quick settings of jaws2018 but the column-headers aren’t spoken.
I don’t know if this is possible and if so, what kind of settings the excel 2010 document should have to let this work.
Many thx for any idea.
Kind regards, William Windels Met vriendelijke groeten William Windels

Re: JAWS accessible Order Management Software
It makes a lot more sense, but while somebody might have a suggestion this may go well beyond the scope of this list. I guess it all depends on how many people are involved here, how many items, the volume of orders, do you need a fully integrated solution with inventory, ordering, shipping etc.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
I own a retail business and that is a different side of the equation, most of the suppliers and wholesalers I deal with use anything from Quickbooks to full-blown SAP which could cost hundreds of thousands or millions of Dollars to implement depending on the size of the business, whether there is just one location etc. I guess it would also depend if the software has to be accessible, I don't want to be a spoil-sport, but good luck if that is the case, I am having a heck of a hard time finding a replacement for my current point of sale software which is nearing it's end of life. Chrome Amazon Issue
Randy Meyer
When using Google Chrome and searching Amazon, I am getting consistently knocked out of Chrome and the internet. I enter some words in the search box in Amazon, hit enter, and I am kicked out of the internet, or I am unable to see the search results.
I am using Jaws 2019 and windows 10 version 1809. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I upgraded to 1809 about five days ago to get the latest version of narrator and I am just noticing this problem.

Re: realtec hd audio compression
Robert Logue
You can actually get to the tab to turn off all effects from Windows sound settings realtek properties. As with all windows it depends how you get there. My favorite method is to create a shortcut to sndvol.exe. Assign
a shortcut key like ctr l+alt+v. You can also open the volume mixer by using the run command windows key r. sndvol. enter. You can also search sndvol from the start menu.
You will land on the main volume control. Press shift tab once to get to a button that says the name of the audio device you want to get the control panel properties. Press space bar to activate it as enter might close the window instead.
When you get to Realtek properties, ctr l+tab to navigate to enhancements. There is a checkbox to turn off all enhancements there.
If there is a more direct way, please chime in. I know this topic is kind of old but it might help someone.
