I use Fusion and have not heard of this issue or seen it in my use.  Have you tried a fusion repair and a Microsoft office repair?  Usually that fixes issues for me.

Has anyone heard of any issues with using Fusion 2018 or 2019?  We have had issues with it ever since we switched to Office 365 not reading emails (intermittently) and then if it does read them changing the order it was set to (sender, subject, date/time) to something else (subject, date/time, etc) making it hard to sort through emails efficiently.  Wonder if anyone has heard of or experienced any issues with Fusion or chatter about it having bugs?  Thank you!

Subject: JAWS And SuccessFactors Recent Upgrade To Fiori Home Page #jaws

Hi, I'm keen to know if any users are involved in working with SuccessFactors, a cloud based HR solution which is part of the SAP suite.

Recently, there has been a push to move all clients to the new Home Page which is based on their Fiori look and feel. This has resulted in a reduction in accessibility via JAWS (Using JAWS 19). Entering the screen will always trigger JAWS to move in to Application mode. Whilst their is stil some accessiblity through a menu and a search box, access to the details on the creen  which is layed out as a series of tiles appears not to be possible unless you use mouse echo mode.

Has anyone else using SF noticed this and if so, can I make contact to look at raising a request with SAP with some support to improve accessibility here. Alternitively, what tricks are people using to get round this?

Keith,  Which browser are you using?  I have had trouble playing audio from other websites while using Google Crome.  The same thing happens where the time is advansing, but no matter the status of the mute button, there is no sound.  I switch to Firefox and audio plays as it should.

Hi,

I haven’t had this problem before.

When I open a link in YouTube to play a file, I get no sound. I understand the clip is playing as the time indicator progresses as it should.

I cannot find a mute/unmute button reliably, but when I do, and toggle it, nothing changes. Volume in the YouTube player indicates it is at 100%. Changing this to different values has had no effect.

I’m totally stumped at this point on how to try to fix this.

Running latest Jaws 2019 on Windows 10. This has persisted over many days now, and persists despite numerous shutdowns and restarts.

Thanks in advance for any help. Keith

The date in that document is a form field, of the type date, that's set to update to currentdate().

See this Office Help Page:  https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Insert-edit-and-view-fields-in-Word-c429bbb0-8669-48a7-bd24-bab6ba6b06bb

If you want to view fields in any document ALT+F9 makes them visible.  You can either choose to remove the field and put in the date you'd like to keep in the document, or you can use the CTRL+F11 shortcut in the field to lock it after you know it contains the date you want.  For myself, I just nuke the date field and put in the text for the date as it should remain forever.

Form fields are great for saving effort every time something is opened, but if the document is to be then a permanent record, it's better to do a Select all (CTRL+A) then use the CTRL+SHIFT+F9 command to unlink all the fields and retain their current values.  See:  https://word.tips.net/T001864_Deleting_All_Fields.html

Re: bullets in word 2016

I will report on the test I just did, and the results are as I expected.

In Word 2016 you cannot just select the entire document and remove all bullets.  You can select bulleted lists in their entirety and then remove the bullets, but if you have other text selected at the same time it does not work, even if that's a single line of text above or below the list.  This makes sense to me as the controls related to lists, bulleted or otherwise, are supposed to apply only to lists and not to other text.

ALT+H,U takes you straight to the bulleted list control and I always land on the bullet I'm currently using inside the control itself.  None is presented in the collection of bullet types, and if chosen when a bulleted list is selected will "de-bullet" and de-list it.

Re: Have you experienced this problem before with your old machine?

Chris Hill

I really don't think you have anything to worry about.  You'll need chkdsk to fix a file system error if you get one, I don't believer manufacturers' software is going to do that.  Even chkdsk's surface scan is read only, if it were writing then it would fix bad sectors on hard disk drives that are supposed to be locked out when read and written, and believe me, that never works.

Not quite. You should not use a defrag utility, but there is absolutely no problem using a chkdsk program on an ssd, in fact it is recommended to fix file system issues.

Hi, I was about to say something that someone else already stated but maybe please don't forget to perform the basic things that help to keep your computer operating the best it can. disk cleanup, and disk defragmenter, also don't forget to if you have windows defender to perform a complete scan of your system to make sure that you don't have any viruses. some times, you even might want to make sure that you delete you search history as well.

Addison,

It's CTRL+SHIFT+F that brings up the standalone font dialog.  You can then tab to the size combo box, or hit ALT+S to shoot yourself straight to it.  Once you're in it you can either type the point size you want or use up/down arrow to move among the combo box's dropdown list values.

Of course, you have to have selected the text you want to change the font size (or any other font setting) for first.

Re: Jaws 2018 microsoft word document font size
