Placing the cursor on the footnote mark (e.g., the number if you’re using numbered footnotes) and pressing the delete key a few times worked for me in a quick test.

jaws 2019 latest update, issue in general settings.

Mário Navarro

Hi all.

My Jaws 2019 latest update does not work in the general settings panel in the Windows 10 latest release.
Jaws can't not focus the cursor on the tabs, System, devices, phone, network, and Internet.
And all the others who follow him.
Note:
I am using this release in demo 40 mode.
Anyone have any tips for resolving this issue?
Or this is a bug of this release.

Thank you.
Cheers.

Re: Installing Audasity program

Chris Hill

Yep, your windows is broken.  The simplest way to do what you want none the less is to go to www.ninite.com, check the box for audacity, then choose get your ninite.  A .exe installer will download which should work fine.  It also won't contain malware, which is all to prevalent on other download sites.

You mean you can’t locate the .msi file?

It should run and install when you activate it.

Hello:

Is there any way to install the scripts manually?

I cant get the windows installer to install an msi program.

Any help would be appreciated.I contacted Microsoft and they told me that I should not run msi programs.

They told me that I should run installers that have the ext of exe.

If anybody knows how to install the scripts manually would be appreciated.

I restarted the windows installer service and that didknow good.

I don’t know how to tell the installer to start automaticly.

Thank you.

try using the insert plus numrow1 to turn keyboard help on and try different
key combos to see what the association is. insert plus
numrow5 will foreground and background colors and insert lus 3 will allow
the next key to pass through to the app just to mention two.
insert plus numrow 1 will turn off keyboard help is pressed a second time.

how to have Jaws tell me details like foreground and background colors,
highlighted colors, and how to tell jaws to only read text with certain
attributes.

I could do all that with Window-Eyes, but not sure where to begin with
Jaws.

You should be able to just double click on the file if that doesn’t work you have a Windows problem

No font?

What does it mean when I press insert+f and Jaws says “no font?”

I know there is text under the cursor….

Yes, I often get the same result.  It occurs in Word as well.  If I go back to the word in question then JAWS reads correctly.  I will again call FS with this issue but on last call they acted like a deer in the headlights.

Using win10 1809 and jfw2019, when I enter text in any text entry box jaws reads everything as it should, except it reads it as if I never entered the first letter in the first word, so thet when I type “wordpad” for example it says “ordpad”this happenes in all text entry boxes, even on websites.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

It only began after either the windows update or the jfw update, I think it was the win10 upgrade to 1809

Thanks
