jaws not reading automatically when an idicator on webpage changes
mike mcglashon
Hey guys:
Jaws 2019 here, win10,
Am using marketwatch.com for this example; I think there is a bug with jaws, at least 2018 and 2019; I put the virtual cursor on a stock that is continuously changing, When I do, the braille display changes and shows the change whenever the ticker changes; However, with jaws virtual cursor on that line, jaws does not read the changed line automatically, In fact, it says nothing, yet the braile display keeps up with the change; “I wish jaws to speak the change whenever the line changes; How do I do this?

Re: elementary question

I should also say that Office 365 will offer more actual features over time, whereas the boxed copy or perpetual license only offers bug fixes and security updates. I may be wrong about this but I had the impression that improvements to accessibility might
not appear with subsequent updates to Office 2016 or 2019 but they could roll out with updates to Office 365. If I am wrong about this I would appreciate being informed.

Re: elementary question
Being an "I hate subscription services" person myself, I recently upgraded from Office 2010 to Office 2016 Pro Plus. I really like having the installed versions of the Office programs.
Although Office 2019 is the latest, the jump from 2010 to 2016 was a major upgrade and 2016 is years away from its end of life. When you couple that with recycled Office licenses routinely being available on eBay for under $10, it was an easy choice for me. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1809, Build 17763 Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem — neat, plausible, and wrong. ~ H.L. Re: elementary question
You should get an Office 365 subscription which entitles you to download whatever latest version of the Office apps exist. In addition it comes with 1 Tb of OneCloud storage and if you have a good friend or family member you could share it, the $99 family plan is good for up to 5 or 6 people and each of them get the 1 Tb of storage and can download the apps on up to 5 devices. If it is just yourself you could get an individual subscription for I think $59 a year. Going forward you will find that you will get the most up-to-date functionality and scripts if you are running the subscription version. As of Jaws 2019 Freedom Scientific has separated the scripts for the retail version and the subscription version and since a large majority of people and companies opt for the subscription model nowadays it will get more attention.

Hi; I am a new list member. I received a pc running windows ten professional and I can use up to jaws 2019. I plan to purchase some version of office and although they all theoretically work perfectly, I wonder which version is likely to give me the least grief and if there are any versions I should consider avoiding? Many thanks Richard

Re: Deleting a footnote in word2016 with windows 10 and jaws 2018

Placing the cursor on the footnote mark (e.g., the number if you’re using numbered footnotes) and pressing the delete key a few times worked for me in a quick test.

jaws 2019 latest update, issue in general settings.
Mário Navarro
Hi all.
My Jaws 2019 latest update does not work in the general settings panel in the Windows 10 latest release. Jaws can't not focus the cursor on the tabs, System, devices, phone, network, and Internet. And all the others who follow him. Note: I am using this release in demo 40 mode. Anyone have any tips for resolving this issue? Or this is a bug of this release. Thank you. Cheers. -- A acção pode nem sempre ser felicidade, mas não há felicidade sem acção...

Re: Installing Audasity program
Chris Hill
Yep, your windows is broken. The simplest way to do what you want none the less is to go to www.ninite.com, check the box for audacity, then choose get your ninite. A .exe installer will download which should work fine. It also won't contain malware, which is all to prevalent on other download sites.

Hello:
Is there any way to install the scripts manually?
I cant get the windows installer to install an msi program.
Any help would be appreciated.I contacted Microsoft and they told me that I should not run msi programs.
They told me that I should run installers that have the ext of exe.
If anybody knows how to install the scripts manually would be appreciated.
I restarted the windows installer service and that didknow good.
I don’t know how to tell the installer to start automaticly.
Thank you.
