Hello,

I’m using the free version of Kindle. I download the preview of a book. I then purchased the actual book. I’m unable to delete the preview of the book. I need to delete the preview so the actual book can be downloaded.

If I press alt f all options are unavailable except for exit.

I press control O to get options and there is nothing to delete a book.

Does anyone have the commands or know how to delete a book? I even tried to go to the Kindle library to manually delete it and I don’t have admin rights.

Cheers,

Kevin

Hello, everyone.

Recently, I find that I am constantly loosing shortcuts to Microsoft Word and Excel in Office 365.

I invoke the shortcuts in the usual way by accessing properties in the given program, but after several days, they simply disappear.

I suspect this might have something to do with Office 365 updates, but can’t be sure.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?  And, if so, do you have a fix?

I’m using Windows 7 and Jaws 2018 here.

Re: Loosing Shortcuts For Microsoft Word And Excel In Office 365

Also, Windows Key + Shift + Number on the number row will start a new instance of the application.
If, for example, Notepad is in position 6 then Windows Key+6 will start Notepad. Let's say you want to open a new blank Notepad file instead of going back to the one already open. Press Windows Key+Shift+6 and a new instance of Notepad opens.
And remember, Windows Key+Alt+6 would bring up the so-called jump list which contains the recently used files, somewhere in Settings you can specify how many you want to show in the jump list, but I'd have to go hunt for that and I have to leave for work now.

no. JAWS still does not read the dialogs where it should be possible to
press the arrow keys to make a selection.
pressing insert+q reports that default settings are loaded.

Hi!
Together with Jaws developer we made accessible a job that it wasn't before: I mean to be a stenographer.

Basically it means to listen and transcribe, which is used for Court reporting, realtime subtitling, any situation where you have to type really really fast, as fast as a person speaks.
In the bast there was not audio feedback of what a stenographer types. Now a Jaws plugin allows it.

For those who are interested in deepening the subject I've made a simple video which explain broadly.:

Hope it can help somebody as it helped me.

Re: Loosing Shortcuts For Microsoft Word And Excel In Office 365

Hi Tom,

Not sure why this is happening, but you could try to simply put the shortcuts in the taskbar, in Windows 7 as well as Windows 10 you can access any application in the taskbar by pressing the Windows Key + the number corresponding to the application's position in the taskbar.

For example, if you have the following applications in your taskbar from left to write:

Google Chrome, Outlook, Excel, Word, Skype and Notepad

press the following keyboard shortcuts:

Windows Key + 1 for Google Chrome

Windows Key + 2 for Outlook

Windows Key + 3 for Excel

Windows Key + 4 for Word

Windows Key + 5 for Skype

Windows Key + 6 for Notepad

You can put up to 10 applications there and use 1 through 0 together with the Windows Key to access them, also, if you press Windows Key + Alt + 3 which in my example is for Excel you are bringing up the jumplist for the application and you can then arrow up or down to see the most recently used files.

Regards,

Sieghard

Maybe someone could create a mailing list for those who want to discuss other's income streams. Nope, it isn't going to be me, I don't want to have ridiculous, pointless debates that go nowhere. If someone actually does though, maybe a list for discussing income streams, and finance in general, would be a good idea.

Folks,

It would appear that somewhere along the way we seem to have lost the plot. Ordinarily that in and of itself wouldn't be quite a problem, as you guys are usually pretty good at letting things die down naturally. However, this weekend's rather intense conversations have lead to not one, but I count currently at least 3 active and on-going threads that have left the actual original topic of discussion crying in the corner. Since that's not what this list is here for, I will be going through and closing those threads starting in the next 2 minutes. I would encourage the instigators in the group (you know who you are and so do I) not to take that as an invitation to reopen them. Let's attempt to get back on course, shall we? This is a JAWS list. If you want to discuss the practicality, ethics or worthyness of one man's particular income stream, do it privately.

Also, let's try and be mindful of rule 5 going forward. People get moderated when things get personal. Leet's maybe not get personal. Thanks, and remember, we've all got opinions. There's as much room for theirs as there is for yours. ... Except those Apple dorks. Those guys are just weird.
