I did select the drive first, before using the "Clean" command. I am not going to waste any more time trying to recover the lost drive space, I'll use the memory stick as a Windows installation disk.

I believe that to use the remote connection with NVDA copies of the program must be running on both machines. I have been thinking about this a little more and a possibility is Remote Incident Manager from Sero Tek which is a subscription based program and the System Access speech program does not have to be the primary screen reader. Hello John:

Following several searches on line, for instructions on how to delete a partition/volume on a USB memory stick, several of which suggested I type the command line: delete partition When I tried this command, Windows displayed the message: No drive is selected. Then I came across a sight which suggested the command: clean which did the trick Once I closed DiskPart and closed the CMD window, I used the partition and format manager to see if the entire 64 GB was now available as . unalocated space. I'm sorry to say, for me anyway, the only unalocated space available, was 8 GB. So, it looks like the rest of the available space between 8 GB an 64 GB no longer exists, that is as far as Windows is concerned. So, I am off to search for another 64 GB memory stick at a good discounted price. Thank you to everyone who has tried to help me with this problem. Dave Durber

Re: OCR
Jaws Key+Spacebar followed by O then D only works if the file is already open in Acrobat Reader. You can also recognize a PDF file or, for that matter, most other image files such as JPG, Bitmap, TIF etc. by finding the file in Windows Explorer, then press Shift+F10 for the context menu and “J” for Recognize with Jaws” And no need to send another “Thanks” message *smile*.

I agree with Richard, when I read messages I delete them when I read the message and if another person replies a day later referring to something but he does not have the thread in his message I found it is often unclear what this refers to. I guess in such a case I just also delete he message since I may not be able torespond not knowing the context, but while a long thread may not be always useful it doesn’t bother me since the new reply is at the top (if it isn’t then that is not my problem) so I don’t have to read the entire thread, but if I do want to refer back to something then I can or if I look for a link that was in a message 5 replies further down the thread then it is easy to find..

a strange focus problem
Jed Barton <jedbarton@...>
Hey guys.
OK, so i am having a very strange problem with all my versions of jaws. I'm trying to use a program, it's a piece of software used for programming a 2 way radio. I need to focus on a list of contacts in the radio. So, i can get to that list, and arrow up and down it with no problem. The issue is i need to highlight 1 of those contacts. In order to do that i am doing a left mouse. When i route my jaws to pc cursor and do a left click, the cursor jumps up 2 contacts, in other words it changes the focus of what i need to highlight. Any words of wisdom here guys? I had someone looking at it on the screen, and that's what it was doing. Any ideas? Thanks, Jed
