How to get the old Alt Tab dialog in Windows 10 Back
Mike B. <mike9902@...>
Hi All,
Running Windows 10 Pro and Jaws latest. I
came across this, tried it and it works as advertised. I didn't do the
registry hack personally, but downloaded the program and made the change with
their program. Here's the website to hear how it works and the download
link & steps are below the website URL.
To download the program click on the link below,
press the letter, B for button, then up arrow a few times to the download
link.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! Sent from my iBarstool. Arguing with a woman is like reading a software license agreement. In the end you have to ignore everything, & click I agree.

Just a warning about WD MyCloud products. I have a MyCloud EX4 and have found some parts of the interface are inaccessible with JFW at least. More importantly, despite Western Digital being a large complany, the product has a history of serious internet vulnerabilities. Two in recent years allow someone to take control remotely and the 2nd is still on-going. So much so, users are being told to unplug them from the internet.

Re: keystrokes for pop-ups
Bill,
Thank you very much for having taken the time to report back about your conversation with Vispero. I also hope that they have taken on board that this description of "pop up" is very ill suited to the situation at hand. I'd go for "fill-in options present" or something if autocomplete is considered too much (but if it is, my phrase would be, too). It also seems to me that a great many JAWS users never, ever bother to learn about or try the different verbosity options. I've never quite understood why this is and I've worked with folks who have used JAWS for decades who have beginner verbosity, complain about the intrusiveness of it, and when I ask about whether they've ever tried the other settings I get a variant on, "You mean you can set JAWS to talk less?" Most of my clients happen to be beginners who need beginner level verbosity, but I always mention that as they become more comfortable and more skilled they may want to ratchet JAWS verbosity back. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1803, Build 17134 A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back

for me it is not very usable with speech in its options menu or otherwise. i have it installed on windows 7. but it seldom asks me about what is going on. i only have one entry in the vault that i had to add manually. that one works and will log me in. i have to open a context menu and log on to last pass every time i load firefox ,even though i tell it to remember the user name and/or the last pass password. it does not remember them. so far it has never popped up to ask me to automatically save the log on info to the vault. even though i am logged in to last pass. the only way it will auto fill is after i manually add a web page, user name and password in the vault. and it is mouse driven. i can't get to any of the menu options without the mouse.

Re: keystrokes for pop-ups
Bill White <billwhite92701@...>
Hi, Brian. I called Vispero about the “Has popup message. Nikki at Vispero told me that “Has popup is synonymous with “Autocomplete” in NVDA. It used to say Autocomplete in JAWS as well, but some users told them that they didn’t like JAWS always saying Autocomplete, so they changed the verbiage to Has popup. It’s a situation where there’s an edit field, and as soon as some letters are typed in the edit field, suggestions appear below. She told me that by using the Virtual Cursor key (NumPad Plus twice, then arrowing down, the results of the popup or autocomplete can be viewed. In Firefox, these results may also be seen by Tabbing a few times.
When I explained that JAWS also says Has popup, in situations where a mouse hover is needed, she said that JAWS gets its information from the webpage, and that if the webpage sends information to JAWS that acts like an autocomplete, even though it’s a mouse hover, JAWS won’t know the difference, and will act as if it’s a situation where you would type in some letters, and suggestions would appear. This is what they mean by a popup.

I love it. That way you don't have to navigate through folders to find what you want to attach.

Similarly, while in the list of attachments, you can copy an attachment's name and paste it into a folder, avoiding the whole save rigmarol.

What is the method for reaching the options for opening or saving a single attachment in Outlook? I know it has something to do with using the arrows in combination with another key, but at the moment, I can’t remember the keystroke.
If you have highlighted an attachment, I thought it was ALT plus Down Arrow, but that’s not it.
