Migrating to Firefox from Internet Explorer

Joe DiNero

Good Morning Folks,

I am about to make the switch to Firefox from Internet Explorer. If I remember correctly from a couple years ago in one of the FS free webinars on the topic there was a navigational sounds add on. Is that add on still available? Also any recommendations for any other helpful add ons or tips for migration?

Thanks in advance.

Joe

Re: Accessing drop down menus

Steve Matzura

That's a hard one, as different Websites use different methods. If the drop-down menu shows up as a button, JAWS sometimes says collapsed," or "menu." Tap your space bar and this menu will open. You can then use down-arrow to browse its choices. You may also get the JAWS sound that indicates you've gone into forms mode. This is normal, but it doesn't happen all the time. It all depends on exactly what kind of control that menu drop-down is.

Hi Brian,
just to point out that when you apply a view to folders of this type, there is no restriction that the view is only applied to subfolders. It is applied to all folders of that type anywhere is the folder hierarchy.

David.

Ribbons.  I believe they were introduced all the way back at Office 2007.  The ribbon interface was a big part of Windows 7 itself, too.

I just finished installing Office 2016 on three machines this evening, all of which already had Office 2010, so I can use either at this point.  But given that I doubt support will go on much longer for Office 2010 I wanted to get the last fully installable version, as opposed to the Office 365 subscription service, on while one can get keys for it for a song on eBay out of the EU and the Far East.

Re: Windows 10 Question

Just like Windows 7 and Windows 10 Office 2010 and Office 2016 have differences and there are no two ways about it, you just have to learn to deal with how you do things in Office 2016. I can't even remember, but did Office 2010 still have menus or did it already have ribbons?

Dear friend, I’m very sorry to let you know that Twitter has changed its code of authorization that’s why stable version of TWBlue is not working to authorize your twitter account!

In order to resolve that issue, TWBlue developers has made a snapshot version of TWBlue, Download it authorize your twitter account with it then coppy its config folder into your stable version of TWBlue and that’s all!
