Re: Problems with my gmail account
david
hello; if your unable to get into your outlook email, most likely you'll need to turn on less secure settings,
go to:
https://www.google.com/settings/security/
Allow less secure apps: off
Some apps and devices use less secure sign-in technology, which could leave your account vulnerable. You can turn off access for these apps (which we recommend) or choose to use them despite the risks. so, if you turn on this security feature you'll be able to get into your outlook 2016 inbox.

Firefox Quantum, Version 60, and getting to browser control buttons
Hello All,
It has been a while since I last tutored using JAWS and Firefox, definitely before the Quantum engine became involved. I recently discovered the Read Aloud add-on, which I absolutely love for its ability to read webpages about as close to how a sighted reader would read them as anything I've encountered. The same extension exists for the Chrome web browser, too. That being said, I have either forgotten how to get to the controls for the browser like the Forward, Back, Reload, and Home buttons, as well as the buttons for add-ons that get placed to the right of the address & search edit box and to the left of the "hamburger stack" Firefox menu button. Obviously, there has to be a way to throw focus on to those buttons, but I'm having a complete block as to how. If, by chance, something has changed with the introduction of Quantum then please let me know that as well since it will make me feel a bit less crazy (but not by much). -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1803, Build 17134 Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. the percentage when this keystroke is done. It does not mimic JAWS/Windows behavior of the past. In the past, JAWS would give progress percentages every five seconds or so. Now, the only way to get this progress is to set JAWS to ALL with INSERT plus S until it says ALL, then revert back to HIGHLIGHTED with INSERT plus S until it says HIGHLIGHTED, once the copy process is finished. Hi Nino, I haven’t looked at this in a while, but under Quick Settings, do a search on Progress Bars. If I remember correctly, you should be able to toggle the announcement of progress bars on or off. Turn them on, close Quick Settings and you should be good to go. However, a lot of times, if I’m copying a large number of files, I’ll just press insert+b periodically and that will give me the percentage that I want. As for the security settings issue, Google has claimed that outlook is a “less secure app”, a claim which may or may not be true, I really can’t say. Whatever the case, you can’t fix the problem on the Outlook side. Log on to GMail using the web page and check out your inbox. You should see some messages indicating that there have been attempted logins to your account. In one of those messages, you’ll probably find a link to your GMmail security settings. Follow that link and look for something that says “allow access by less secure apps” or something to that effect. Turn that setting on and Outlook should work properly. I hope that helps. If you have any further questions, write me off-list an I’ll get back to you. Best regards, Tom

Hi, Nino. From the nature of your question, I assume that you are attempting to get a percentage of files copied on Windows 10. Here’s what I have had to do to get this to work reliably in Windows 10.
1. Start the copy process. 2. Press JAWS key plus S until it says All. 3. Now you will here your percentages. 4. Once you reach 100 percent, Press JAWS key plus S again until it says Highlighted. 5. Do steps one through four, each time you are copying files.

I’m not Brian, but as far as checking which format you are using, hit alt+f then t for options. \ Arrow down once to mail, and tab twice and it should say, compose in this format. If it says html, then you are using html for sending. If it doesn’t, arrow up or down until you get to html and then hit enter or tab to OK and hit enter.
