Try the latest - 60.0.1 with the May 2018 JAWS 2018 update. If that doesn't perform to your satisfaction, downgrade Firefox to the ESR release.

Sieghard,
Great info, never knew they changed the file extension from .pst to.ost. Also, for those using POP3 accounts the default location is under ones documents folder in a folder called outlook.

Is this Outlook 2016? If I go to File > Account Settings and then to the data file tab all my accounts are listed including the full path to the data file. In Outlook 2016, however, they have an “OST” extension. Also, and this is the beauty if you use IMAP or set up an Outlook.com account with exchange active sync, there really is no need to back up these files. If I get a new computer or for some reason want to set up my accounts from scratch I just delete the accounts and then re-create them and all my mail, contacts and so on will sync back down from the servers and my local copy of the data file is created new.

Yes. Do windows-r and type c colon backslash. (I used the words rather than the punctuation marks there. Then do Contrrol-e for search and type outlook.pst and hit enter. It will likely take a while, but you should find it. It is usually buried under your user, appdata folder. Richard

Well, I am not talking about a Wi-Fi connection. I am talking about a telephone connection with the use of a modem, not a cable. Added to that I use windows 7, 32bit. Thanks and cheers. Ibrahim.

You sure can! With Windows 10, I just press: Windows+I to open settings, then go to internet category, Arrow down to WIFI and press enter, and tab and press enter to find WIFI connections that are in range. My Cable Internet connection comes up, I press enter on that, and then I enter my password, and I am hooked up to my WIFI connection! I hope that is what you were asking! David Moore

Hi good people: Is there a way a blind computer user can independently connect a modem without sighted assistance? the modem I am talking about is the modem used for internet connection. I am particularly talking about the one that uses a phone sim card. The sim card is inserted in to it, before it is plugged in to the USB port of the computer. There is no option for connection, and so sighted assistance is needed to click on the mouse to connect it. Without sighted assistance, the modem cannot be used. This is the problem I am having right now. Does any one use this kind of modem, and have you been getting around this problem. Hope to read a response. Regards. From Ibrahim.

Tom,
I don't think so. However there are 3 or 4 files in that
folder, all of which contain information on various settings and preferences in
Outlook. I usually keep a copy of them all, and when something goes really wrong
with Outlook, I copy over these files and restart Outlook.

Spelling and grammar checker in latest Microsoft Word on Windows (Office 365)
Jason White
Microsoft’s software developers have apparently created a new user interface for the spelling and grammar checker in Microsoft Word. I’m using a recent Monthly Channel release of Office 365 on Windows 10.
What I didn’t find, however, was a control to exit the spelling and grammar dialogue. Pressing Escape exited and preserved my changes – but I’m curious – is there something else that I overlooked?
I’m using the May update of JAWS 2018.

After not being able to set up the pop accounts in Outlook I rang Microsoft hotline and the tech there changed it to a imap account. Since then I have been flooded with duplicate mail.
Maybe it would be worth me setting up another pop account in gmail and subscribe to lists under the new account.

Hi I have not been following this conversation that much but I will say that if you were only using a device or to pop three is a good way to go. This allows you to have messages on your computer but you don’t have to delete them from the server unless you choose to in the set up. Your problem may be in the set up of your account if there is a way you can do it you may want to uninstall your accounts and then reinstall them, just make sure you have all of your email backed up or at least the important ones.

Here the scripts. I hope you have Jaws version 2018 and I hope you have Please close eckyBefore installing. Hope you have a d-drive. I have components that are written in Autohotkey, a free scriptinglanguage. These files are stored on the d-drive. If you don't have a d:, I have to find an other way. In the Becky script.zip file, you will find two files. Becky.zip and becky scrip jfw2018.zip The becky script jfw2018.zip is an export of my jaws scripts. Go to the jaws menu with ins-j, than utilities and arrow up to: import / export Enter here and follow the directions. For the becky.zip file: You have to make a folder on the d-drive: called: autohotkey\ In the becky.zip file you will find a becky folder with files in it. You have to place that becky folder in the autohotkey folder, so you will get: d:\autohotkey\becky and in becky there must be files. Hope it is clear and hope they will work. They are working on my computer, but hope on yours too. But I cannot sent it to your gmail account because there is an exe file in the zip, so I have uploaded it to a stack drive. You can go to the link. Press x for checkbox until you can check Becky script.zip. Press ctrl-ens and arrow up to download and press enter. Now the download begins. https://martenpu.stackstorage.com/s/vHwXrMVMMZTHEBS Regards, Marten

JAWS and VBA
Pele West <pele.westlists@...>
Hi Everyone
I am using Windows 7, JAWS 2018 and a Brailliant B64 braille display. I write code using VBA 2010. When I am using the editor I find that the first 4 cells of the braille display are never used. Also, when I insert a line the code does not appear in the right place on the display. This can be confusing, as I indent coding. 1. Is there a way to make the code start at the lefthand end of the display, except, of course, when it is indented? 2. Is there a way to stop the line moving to different cells in the display? thanks, any help welcome Pele West
