Re: IE9

You may find that Microsoft is going to update Internet Explorer from whatever you had to I E 9 unless you prohibit automatic updates.
So if you uninstall IE9, you'll what to set your update from automatic to something like "ask me if I want to install".

Re: Excel tutorials

FS has reduced its pricing for their paid webinars to $29.00 base price.
There are no free tutorials that I know of that will teach you Excel 2010
using JAWS.

In January FS is offering lessons on Excel 2010.

Is there any online tutorial that will teach me how to use Excel? I know
that FS offers a tutorial, but it's quite expensive, as I remember, and I
still need to remember to call this week and renew my SMA. (Sigh!) Any
help would be appreciated. I'm using V11, but have V13 installed on my

So if that's all yoru doing, twitmonger's your best bet.

Re:

Hi Dana
Sorry I did not include that in the last email. Sometimes I have brain dead
spells.

Hit the Alt Key.
JAWS should say Home.
Arrow right until you get to the View Menu.
Down arrow, then right arrow until you get to the Reading Pane.
Down Arrow until it says OFF, Third choice.
Press Enter and you are good to go.

Ann Byrne

Already done. FS is probably tired of hearing from me. But of course if they don't know it's broke, they can't fix it.

On my computer, in JAWS 13.0.638 insert-shift-r no longer reads the
whole row in a spread sheet unless all the cells are filled in. If
there are blank cells in the row, Jaws reads the first populated cell
and not the rest. This was true in JAWS 13.0.527 as well. JAWS 12
does a great job, though.

Dave...

Mark,

I wonder if you just have a stuck key. I don't mean mechanically stuck but
that it is being detected as held down in code.

Try repeatedly tapping each pair of shift, control, alt, and windows keys
several times rapidly to see if one of them was "stuck". See if you get
control back .

I can see the curser blinking but it will not let me enter text. For
example if I start typing with the key stroke shift plus t for a capital
letter, it will say not in a table. I have to open up Word, type in what I
want and then copy and paste in my reply. Before I can paste it in, I have
to unload JAWS and then paste it in. Very perplexing.

List,

I am encountering a really strange problem using Outlook 2007 with the
latest version of JFW 13. I believe I accidentally hit a key stroke that
somewhat changed the look of the screen. I have a little residual vision so
I can see that something blinked a bit or changed. Anyway, now when I open
a message, JAWS will not read the message body unless I use the JAWS curser.
Also, if I attempt to write a new email, when I tab to the message body,
JAWS says something like, "this option is not available." I've been racking
my brains but can't for the life of me figure what is going on. Anyone have
any ideas on what I can look to change?

Thanks in advance,

Mark
