Hi Marsha,

When you have the automatically check for updates to Firefox box checked,
tab 3 times to, When updates to Firefox are found. Here you will have 2
choices;
1. Ask me what I want to do, radio button.
2. Automatically download & install the update, radio button.

So, you can make a choice of what you want to do with updates, then tab to
okay, press enter, to close & return to your home page.
Hope this helps. Take care.

HI
Isn't this different than automatically updating? You might like to
know
when there is an update but not want to update it.

malware. And considering that Flash is about the most vulnerable

An upgrade to JAWS is definitely encouraged. Until then, and if you don't mind changing the formatting, Try control plus a to highlight everything.
Then, press control plus shift plus n to switch everything to "normal" style.
Refresh the screen, and then try again.
Of course, if the styles are important, this is a bad idea. At least, however, you should be able to read the text.
Actually, before undertaking the above, a drastic step, you might check the styles in effect on some sample text.
I'm guessing it is a strange one. Try just highlighting one paragraph and changing the style for it. You can use normal, with control plus shift plus n, or pick another style after pressing control plus shift plus s.

Yes. Go to tools with alt-t, then options with o. control-shift-tab three
or
four times until you hear add-ons. Click on that button. When you locate
Webvisum, tab until you hear "disable." Webvisum will stay in that same
location, so you can return there to re-enable it.

I find Webvisum slows down the loading of FF, so I've often disabled it.

Problem with word

Onwardbob

I'm using JFW 8 and Word 2003. On one document, and just on this one, when I try to read it word by word as I rewrite the document, on many of the words Jaws only speaks the first letter of the word. If I read letter by letter, it reads correctly. It only happens on this one document. Any suggestions will be appreciated...

Re: Firefox Automatic Updates how to turn it off

HI
Isn't this different than automatically updating? You might like to know
when there is an update but not want to update it.

Hi Adrian,

A slight correction to your steps. To get to Add-ons in Firefox, Alt for
tools, then arrow down to Add-ons. Take care.

Hi
I was just wondering. Is there a way to turn off Webvisum when you
don't
need it & turn it on when you want to solve a captcha?

Marsha

Why would you want to?
