I have Jaws 2018 set to speak at login. It works when the PC is taken out of
hybernAtion or Sleep but when I reboot I hear nothing and have to guess or
use Narrator. I know this was an issue which was fixed for most people. Is
anyone else still experiencing this issue?

If I use F12 and press Shift+Tab 3 times to get into the treeview of folders/locations, I gett the following list including This PC, obviously y ou may not have the OneDrive options I have for my business and personal accounts etc.

Note that I closed/collapsed all open folders/locations, the word “Closed” was part of the Jaws Speech History from where I copied this list, but I took it out:

I am coming into this thread late. What is the issue exactly? If it is that ThisPC is not listed one level up in the dialog box then access ThisPC from the treeview and I believe that the next time you try to save it should then be corrected.

I already use 1Password on IOS and like it. But when I went to get it for Windows the only paid version I can find is a subscription version where there is a monthly charge paid annually. I am happy to pay, but only once. Where do I get the version without the extra features, and can it still sync with my IOS version using iCloud?

No, it is not free. There are two versions,.Verion 4 keeps your passwords in a encrypted file locally. Version 6 is cloud-based.


In 1Password, when a appsword is entered on a Website, 1Password
displayws a dialg asking whether it should save that password. If that's
what you want, you enter the master unlock password, then 1Password
prompts you with a name under which to save the Web password. This name
is usually the address of the Website for which the password is
required. You can accept the default, or type any name you wish, then
press ENTER. The way you get 1Password to enter passwords for you is by
pressing CTRL plus BACKSLASH. 1Password prompts for the master unlock
password, you enter it, and 1Password does the rest.

May I ask what version of keypass you are using?

I am using keypass, and I think it works pretty good with jaws. Recently I am urged by the program to upgrade to a later version. I have not done so being afraid it will not be accessible.

Finally, I found Keepass quite intuitive and its documentation complete and easy to read.

Hello Val. The install is pretty straight forward. You will have to read through the user guide and familiarize yourself with 1Password. If you have an iPhone, it will be easier to manage your passwords on the iPhone. You get a thirty day trial period before you have to decide which type of license to purchase.
