Re: password manager programs that work with jfw

Steve Matzura

No, it is not free. There are two versions,.Verion 4 keeps your passwords in a  encrypted file locally. Version 6 is cloud-based.

In 1Password, when a appsword is entered on a Website, 1Password displayws a dialg asking whether it should save that password. If that's what you want, you enter the master unlock password, then 1Password prompts you with a name under which to save the Web password. This name is usually the address of the Website for which the password is required. You can accept the default, or type any name you wish, then press ENTER. The way you get 1Password to enter passwords for you is by pressing CTRL plus BACKSLASH. 1Password prompts for the master unlock password, you enter it, and 1Password does the rest.

May I ask what version of keypass you are using?

I am using keypass, and I think it works pretty good with jaws. Recently I am urged by the program to upgrade to a later version. I have not done so being afraid it will not be accessible.

To answer your question with Keepass, the first time you visit a site which requires an ID, you will need to enter it by hand in your Keepass database but then, you simply need to "copy" the user name and password from Keepass and paste them into your browser. Hi, it's Annabelle.

I wonder, is there a way that someone blind like me can fix a .wav file to make it playable again? I have this .wav file that I created in 2015, using Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition, but it won't open in any media player. When I import it as raw data in Audacity, all I get is really loud static. I'm trying this program called "Media Info", but unfortunately it doesn't display much in regards to headers, just the file name and the file size. Also, it doesn't seem to be very accessible to screen readers like JAWS. Is there a screenreader accessible alternative? Here is the file I'm trying to fix.

Subject: Jaws does not speak the bottom of the screen

Hi all,

I just plugged in a new screen to my laptop. This screen seems quite larger than the laptop’s embedded screen.

In order to accommodate this, windows adjusted its screen resolution. Since Jaws became really sluggish, I decided to end it and relaunch it. The screen reader was a little bit more responsive but since it was not as good as before I plugged in the new screen, I decided to reboot the computer.

After restarting, jaws is nearly as responsive as before, except for the few bottom lines of the screen. Although it speaks the icons of the taskbar while I navigate through it, it does not braille them like it did before. And, in my favorite text editor, a few lines of text at the bottom of the screen are simply said as “blank”. In order to know what these lines contain, I need to scroll down a little bit and go back with the up arrow for Jaws to really speak their content. A problem for the end of the document.

Did anyone else have such a problem please?

BTW, the computer is powered by Windows 7 64-bit Entreprise Edition SP1 and Jaws version is 2018.1802.78 ILM.

Many thanks in advance for any advice. Have a nice day. Chris D

I am running Win 10 1709; Win 10 home; Outlook 2016;with Jaws 2018-latest update.  I used to be able to save email to a Seagate 5T external drive.  I would shift to my folders in Outlook and then backspace.  I would have 4 or 5 choices, one of which was “this pc”.  Now when I backspace from my regular Outlook folders there are 10 to 15 folders listed, but no “this pc”.  What has happened?  Have I accidentally changed something to do with the View setting?  I am hoping for an answer to this frustrating situation.  tia
