I'm not sure what Tabs you are referring to, but the first thing I noticed is that to a web browser, your home page is titled simply "Home." I'd recommend whomever is doing your web site change this line in the code: <title>Home</title> To something like <TITLE>Fine Company</TITLE> Otherwise, if someone bookmarks your web site, it will be listed as Home, which is meaningless. I did a select all on the home page and got this: Home navigation region list of 4 items Home Media Press About list end navigation region end Fine Company Logo Picture of Fine Company - Jim, Bill and Ron main region article Making room for fine company article end article FINE COMPANY Fine Company is a talented trio of Pacific Northwest folksingers. Bill Murlin, Ron Dalton, and Jim Portillo combine a full range of vocal talent, as well as skilled picking on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass. They trade off on lead vocals, work wonders in three-part harmony, and back their singing with tasteful and energetic instrumentals. Although Fine Company is a new group, the individual members bring together decades of experience performing acoustic music throughout the Northwest. Bill Murlin can probably claim “seniority” in the group, with over fifty years of performing on stage. He studied at Washington State University during the height of the “Folk Era”. Heavily influenced by the likes of The Kingston Trio, Brothers Four, and Chad Mitchell Trio, he formed a duo known as The Wanderers. He has also performed with two other noteworthy groups, Blue Northern and The Unpaid Bills. Murlin’s warm baritone voice and smooth picking Promo600pxon guitar and banjo made him an in-demand performer at festivals throughout the Northwest. While working for the Bonneville Power Administration, Bill researched the story of Woody Guthrie’s employment in 1941 as a songwriter for the agency. That research led to Bill’s publishing a historical songbook of Guthrie’s Columbia River ballads. Ron Dalton is a Seattle songwriter, folklorist, and guitar-picker. He sings tenor in the trio, but has a wide vocal range. His music tastes are also wide-ranging, from folk to jazz to rock. He has performed for many years at the major folk festivals in the Northwest, and served for a time as president of Victory Music, the region’s non-profit folk society. Ron has performed and recorded as a soloist, and also with his wife Peggy Sullivan as the duo Burgundy Pearl. Ron plays bass as well as guitar. The youngster of Fine Company is Jim Portillo. A Texas native, he migrated to the Northwest by way of Nebraska, to become a rehabilitation teacher for Washington state government. He was influenced at an early age by Doc Watson, Gordon Lightfoot, and classic country music. In Seattle he bought a guitar, took some lessons, and began performing at Victory Music open mikes. Before long Jim went into “full immersion” in the folk world. He joined the concert production committees for Seattle Folklore Society and Victory Music; began performing with The Unpaid Bills, The Wanderers, Hank & Claire, and formed his own group, The Cruzers. He now lends to Fine Company his rich voice and able picking on guitar, mandolin, and bass. Fine Company released their debut album in February, and look forward to a busy season of concerts and festivals throughout 2017. Tom, I have no braille display set up, I’m running the same version as you, and I get the Speech On Demand and Full Speech toggle with insert+space bar followed by s.
Have you tried it with the shift+s to see if you get different results? I’m using Vocalizer Tom as my voice.
I’m running Win 10 64 home.

Speech on demand only makes sense if you use a braille display (at least as far as I am concerned). Yes, Jaws Key+Spacebar followed by S toggles between speech on demand and full speech. If you want the old behaviour back where this keystroke toggles between Speech and Mute you have to first toggle from full speech to speech on demand. Now press Jaws Key+Spacebar followed by Shift+S and Jaws will say “Speech offset to Speech Mute”. If you now press Jaws Key+Spacebar followed by S it will toggle between full speech and mute. In order to go back to Speech on Demand you have to Mute Speech, then again press Jaws Key+Spacebar followed by Shift+S. Jaws will say “Speech offset to speech on demand”. If you try the Jaws Key+Spacebar with Shift+S when you are in full speech mode Jaws will say “not available in full speech mode”.

After downloading and installing Jaws a couple of days ago without a problem, I have now encounted one. Well, maybe I am doing something incorrectly.
Trying out the new feature, Speech on Demand by pressing Jaws, spacebar s gives a very different result from that as demonstrated in the December FS Podcast. When Jonathan used the above key combination his system said either “Speech on Demand” or “Full Speech”. My system says “Speech on” or “Speech off” and that is all.
With the speech off none of the reading keys like insert up arrow says anything.
As this feature was not tried prior to the recent update, it is not known whether it has ever worked.
Could someone try this featureand see what results are obtained?
