Firefox ESR 52.5 64 bit
Richard Turner <richardturner42@...>
I cannot remember where I downloaded my 64 bit version of Firefox ESR 52.t for sure, but I suspect it was from Mozilla. In any case, I did not have any issues with extra junk being installed like you get from some sites. I have put it on my web site. I’ll leave it there until Firefox 60 comes out. Sorry if you wanted the 32 bit version. I suspect it could be found at Mozilla’s web site. But, if you want the 64 bit version, follow this link and save it to your hard drive. http://www.turner42.x10host.com/Firefox%20Setup%2052.5.0esr.exe

GV-Knope, John (Greenville)
I listened to FSCast 149 this morning. FS is recommending that users of FireFox drop back to the extended release version 52 until the May release of FireFox 60.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
The current issue is that FireFox 57+ is using a multiprocessor, sandbox, approach to render web content. This is denying JAWS access to the content. Check out FSCaset 149 for more detail. I am not sure how to obtain version 52. John F Knope Student, CIS – Cloud Computing ECPI University, Greenville Campus Web site: www.ecpi.edu Email: johkno3041@students.ecpi.edu

Hi Dino,

The guides are self contained html files, that is, they don't contain any links to external files such as css files or images. So if you're saving a guide using file, save as, you can set the "save as type" to webpage, html only. Note that the advantage of reading the guides directly on the web, is that if I make any corrections or additions to the guides, you'll automatically read the updated version. Thanks for your positive comment about the guides, David.

Hi again Jed. If you decide to uninstall and reinstall Firefox version 52, remember to go to the update settings and disable all updates, and uncheck the boxes for updating in the background, and for use of the Mozilla Maintenance Service. Otherwise, eventually, it will try to force you to update to version 57 which is unusable.

It is recommended that you run the latest version of Firefox ESR (extended service release), this version is usually intended for businesses who want the latest security updates but not necessarily all the latest features. Regards, Sieghard

Re: found file
netbat66
the best way to do this is to manually go to the folder where you want to save your work.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
then open a new text file with the context menu. then when you save your work it will be saved in the same folder. one problem with note pad is it remembers the last folder where you saved your work. and if you don't search for the folder it is going to save the file to and change it before you save the file it will be saved in the last folder you were useing.

Lost file
Nino Dagostino
Hi:
My tutor and I was working on a file this morning for web design.
I was using Notepad++ to edit the file.
We named the file index.html, and we thought it was saved.
When I went to open the file it was not there.
I am sure I saved the file I clicked on the saveas button.
I have looked all over my computer for the file does anybody have any ideas how to find the file or another search program I could use.
It took us about 2 hours to create this file.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
