Hello I would like to gladly participate as I am an accountant and I have
used peachtree with the competitive screenreader and I do hhave jaws 13 at
work, and just need to know which version is going to be used with the jaws
scripts. I have to get that version so that I can help in this venture.

Which version of Peachtree will the scripts work with. I have Peachtree
2008, and I am an accountant and I would be willing to test your scripts,
tell me what I need to do, how I need to do this since i have never
installed jaws scripts on a jaws version just used default jaws scripts
and would be willing to help you out in this venture. Just let me know and I
will gladly help you out.

i have no idea what iTunes was doing when you tried installing it before,
because you didn't tell us what steps you took, how you answered any
questions posed by the installer, etc.
Blindtunes installs automatically into the correct settings folders when you
run the installer that you downloaded.

If you have more than one version of Jaws installed, make sure you select
the version you want when asked by the installer. The same goes for
language.
Besides that, clicking Next a couple times and accepting the license
agreement is all you have to do.

To get to the "add to cart" button, you'd probably need to press b for
button instead of c. I don't do it that way and I don't use Amazon's
accessible site, since I find the regular site completely accessible. That's
why I'm being tentative. The way I do it is to search for the word "cart."

There's a perfectly good training tool for learning how to use the web
called "Surf's Up" on the FS site and also in the help/web resources menu
from JAWS. I recommend that to anyone who has a need to learn basic
navigation on the web, like Insert+F7 to bring up a list of links.

I don't mind pointing people to that training tool and give advice on how
to
navigate using JAWS. However I do draw the line when someone just whines
about not being able to do something on such-and-such a web site and
hoping
that someone will jump in and tell them what to do -- problem is that the
originator has not told us specifically just what they are having trouble
with.

To wit, here's the original request, and please tell me what I should have

Chris, would you suggest Howard try to uninstall iTunes and start over, or
possibly just re-start the installation over the existing partially
installed one? I don't think he should try to install Blind Tunes until
iTunes is in place.

I went to the site you suggested and downloaded itunes 10.5.1. It has an
extention of .img. Attempting to install it, windows couldn't open it and
went to the web and found a program called paretologic health advisor. I

I did read the original request. I have several responses to what you've
said. First, the request indicates that the person asking the question is a
naive user or having difficulty with English or some such problem. There
was a response before your's to the effect that it wasn't a Jaws relevant
question. I beg to differ. It absolutely was Jaws relevant. Second: some
of us do well with these tutoring tools or help screens or whatever, and
some of us don't. Some of us need extra hand holding. People join these
lists for a variety of reasons. Some of us think we can get some extra help
with problems. Some of us want to help others. Some of us want to hang out
and share knowledge or just show how smart we are. I know that when I've
joined one of these technical lists, it's because I've needed help. I have
been lucky enough to have been able to offer help occasionally, also. I've
discovered that some lists are kinder than others. I've also discovered
that there are some wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful people on the
lists. There have been a few folks, over the years, who have helped me on
or off list, in ways I would have never expected. They are unusually
thoughtful and talented people. I don't expect everyone to function at that
level. But at a minimum, I would expect kindness. One can point a lister
to a resource in a gentle and patient manner or one can do so in an abrupt
or insulting manner.

I'm sorry to have started out on this list in such a controvercial way. I
appreciate that all of you are very technically savvy and I didn't mean to
introduce myself to you as being this critical, fault finding person.

Well put. I feel suitably chastised. So I'll give you my perspective.

There's a perfectly good training tool for learning how to use the web
called "Surf's Up" on the FS site and also in the help/web resources menu
from JAWS. I recommend that to anyone who has a need to learn basic
navigation on the web, like Insert+F7 to bring up a list of links.

I don't mind pointing people to that training tool and give advice on how to
navigate using JAWS. However I do draw the line when someone just whines
about not being able to do something on such-and-such a web site and hoping
that someone will jump in and tell them what to do -- problem is that the
originator has not told us specifically just what they are having trouble
with.

To wit, here's the original request, and please tell me what I should have
told him/her to do:

I'M TRYING TO MAKE MAIN FOLDERS IN THE THUNDERBIRD BOOKMARKS FOLDER SO I CAN ORGANIZE THINGS BETTER. I CAN MAKE A NEW FOLDER OK BUT CAN'T SEEM TO MOVE BOOKMARKS INTO IT. SURE WAS EASY BACK WHEN I HAD SIGHT. ANYWAY, CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS TASK? I'VE NEVER DONE A DRAG AND DROP WITH JAWS SO I'M NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Myself when I answer questions, I always remember, where I was when I
started learning how to use a speech package,/windows.

Well put. I feel suitably chastised. So I'll give you my perspective.

There's a perfectly good training tool for learning how to use the web
called "Surf's Up" on the FS site and also in the help/web resources menu
from JAWS. I recommend that to anyone who has a need to learn basic
navigation on the web, like Insert+F7 to bring up a list of links.

I don't mind pointing people to that training tool and give advice on how to
navigate using JAWS. However I do draw the line when someone just whines
about not being able to do something on such-and-such a web site and hoping
that someone will jump in and tell them what to do -- problem is that the
originator has not told us specifically just what they are having trouble
with.

To wit, here's the original request, and please tell me what I should have
told him/her to do:
