I am using Internet Explorer. I have Firefox but haven't tried it in a couple weeks because I was having some trouble with it. Think I'll go back to it, though. Thanks.

Hello Addison,

Not sure, LOL

Microsoft disability helped a lot.

To get my auto complete fixed(I had the correct box checked from day 1)

The rep from Microsoft dis. Copied all my contacts(F3) and added to outlook(not sure how she did but she did) and now outlook recognizes all my contacts.

Since I did a clean, full upgrade all my settings were lost along with my entire office/outlook and settings which was expected.

They did help me by issuing me a new product key and installing both office and outlook.

I also had a very nice person install outlook express before I had my outlook back. So I was able to access e mail for a while..(thank you, you know who you are)

I was able to stop the password sign in  buy directions that were sent here on this list.

I also had the screen savor stop and now mmy pc does not go to asleep when I walk away from it.

All this was under user panel by pressing the windows key, then netplwiz

I just tabbed around and it worked.

Here is where I also was able to find “never” sleep and the time it wants to stay asleep.

I called A, T Kratter for this help. They use to be my “go” people when I lived in Riverside, Ca and my PC, all my computers came from them.

Microsoft disability confirmed all was ok along with some helpfrom some friends here on this list.

I feel blessed having some folks understand that I am not as pc smart in computers but at least I try as a lot of us do if not all of us.

I wish I knew more than what I do and I am happy to know there are kind individuals who are patient and understand that we are all coming from different levels and are willing to still help.

Sorry I couldn’t answer you more.

OK, once you get to the accounts and select the one you want to modify uncheck the box for require a password at logon. Then click OK. Now a window will open asking for your password. They are your current logon password. fill in both boxes and click OK. If this doesn't work there is a underling issue.

How to Skip the Windows 10 Login Screen and Log Into Your User Account Automatically

First, log into your Windows 10 user account as you normally do by entering your password at the login screen. Next, click Start (or tap the Windows Key

on your keyboard) and type netplwiz. The “netplwiz” command will appear as a search result in the Start Menu search. Hit Enter on your keyboard or click on the result to open it.

A new window labeled “User Accounts” will appear, listing all user accounts on the PC. Click on your user account to select it and uncheck the box labeled “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”

You’ll be prompted to enter the user account’s password (this is a safeguard to ensure that other users on the PC can’t change the settings for accounts they don’t have access to). Enter your account’s password and then click OK to close the window.

Finally, test the new setting by saving all open work and rebooting your PC. If all steps above were performed correctly, Windows 10 should bypass the login screen and load directly into your user account without prompting you for the account’s password.

Hi All,

I'm running Windows 10 with Jaws 16 thru 2018.  How do I set-up Windows 10 so I don't have to put in a password everytime I start the computer?  I would like for it to just start, & go to the desktop.  All help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks much.

I'm with you Sugar, not all that tech savvy, and I well remember the time you took to work with me to get in a signature. I'll have to admit that when I change now, I keep a copy and keep pasting, because Outlook's signature process must have been designed by the KGB or someone like that.

You know you can always call or write me off list.

Hugs

Sugar

Hi All,

I'm running Windows 10 with Jaws 16 thru 2018.  How do I set-up Windows 10 so I don't have to put in a password everytime I start the computer?  I would like for it to just start, & go to the desktop.  All help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks much.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

No run dialog, you would do shift-f10 which would go to a command
prompt and maybe you could run from there, just try it and see.

First thing to do is get yourself a copy of the late Carlos Nazario's Windows pre-installation environment with NVDA. There's one for Windows 7 32- or 64-bit, and Windows 10 32- or 64-bit systems. You get these from
http://www.opopanax.net/download. Create the DVD, then put it aside while you do the next step.

Next step is to create a standalone copy of Image for Windows. I created an audio demo of how to do this. Get it from at https://www.dropbox.com/s/gg10t516n0azszx/PE%20Builder.mp3?dl=0

Finally, boot the Windows pre-installation environment DVD you created, and when the talking Desktop starts talking, run your standalone IFW and do the restore.
