Re: GMail web site not reading middle message subject column?

Shai

Hello Matthew,
I attempted to duplicate your results using both JAWS 18 and 2018 to
see whether there was a difference and I did not discover one on the
gmail site. With smart navigation off and the JAWS document
presentation setting set to screen layout, both JAWS versions read
across as I down arrowed through the emails. The information that was
read was the check box with the sender's name, followed by the subject
a preview of the message and the time. I am wondering which browser
you are using? I conducted this evaluation using Internet Explorer 11
on a Windows 10 machine.
I also opted not to migrate my settings between the two versions.

navigation is off with document presentation at screen layout. In Jaws
18, it would read all the way across, but in 2018 it just reads the
sender and the date, skipping the middle columns.
Thanks,
Matthew

Insert+Space, S to toggle between “speech on demand” and “full speech”. When in Speech on Demand mode, Insert+Space, Shift+S to toggle between speech on demand and speech entirely turned off (“speech mute”, as it’s called).

What is the keystroke for toggling between speech on and either speech mute or speech on demand?

Thank you.

Hello Matthew,
Which view are you in for gmail standard or basic HTML? If the
former, you may want to consider switching to the basic HTML view. I
have smart navigation turned off and JAWS document presentation set to
the simple layout in JAWS 2018 and mine reads the check box, sender,
subject and time as I down arrow.

that you set smart navigation off and document presentation to screen

or did I miss something? I copied the GMail settings file as a last

Re: Maintenance agreement

I would contact the distributor you purchased Jaws from to begin with or simply download Jaws 2018 although going from 17 to 2018 will use up both of your SMA's.

I just gave it a try and it's still there for me. Using win ten, NVDA. The only thing I don't know, is if my version of dropbox is current. I assume it updates on it's own. I know it's always updating on my IPhone.
