then press control l to close the list.

It has been getting better, but it is still a pain. After clicking on an
item you want in your cart try "Control home" which should get you to a
section allowing you to select quantity and then allow you to add it to the
cart as well as make it a favorite. One other thing I discovered is that if
you start off using your favorites list and then want to jump back to the
search box you have to alt left arrow and then drop down to the search box.
I've only used it twice and the service was good, bummer about their less
than accessible web site.

Update,

I got my order and the experience was actually very good.

Nice to be able to have this service.

I re-downloaded the IOS app for Insta Cart and happy to say it is MUCH easier to work than the website.

I had downloaded this app several months ago and it was not this easy to work, using Voice Over. I can’t say but pretty sure it must have had some updates since I had uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

Don’t know why the website and Jaws don’t play well together but there is another way to skin that cat!

I hope this information may help some of you.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanks Giving day.

Yes, this is a feature in Window Eyes.  If you turn it on, invoke a Jaws keystroke, Window Eyes will tell you the Window Eyes equivalent keystroke to the Jaws keystroke, but only if Windows Eyes has an equivalent one.

JAWS, this key command is saying something about cursor routed to JAWS
cursor and that does not seem to be what I want.  Also, this morning I hit
the Shift Insert and numpad plus key combo and it said some something about
the touch cursor, and my keyboard did not work right after than until I
figured out Escaped get me out of whatever I did.

Can someone help me understand how what I do in Window Eyes translates to

1)      What keys do I hit to put the mouse pointer where my typing cursor

2)      What is the Insert numpad plus key doing when it says routed to JAWS

3)      What is happening when I hit Shift Insert  numpad plus and when do
you use this?

Much appreciate.

Hi Bill,

I started this conversation with Outlook 2010 as the email
client.

The Alt down arrow will not work for me either on the same
email I asked this of. I did do the steps to remove the
attachments' preview and now arrowing through the
attachment's works.

The only way to get the items that others are referring to
with the Alt Down arrow is to use the context menu. That
will either be the context key on the keyboard or Shift F10.
Then you will get the choices being talked about.

When I opened the same email in Outlook 2016 the Alt Down
key worked as the context key worked in 2016.

(I was using Jaws 2018 on outlook 2010 and jaws 18 on
Outlook 2016.)

I hope that helps.

The thing I needed was to turn off that preview thing.

1. Open Outlook2010.

Excel 2016 (Office 365) issues with Jaws 2018, was RE: Outlook crashes on Windows 7 PC when starting to type an address

Hi,

I too was having the problem of Excel 2016, as part of Office 365, crashing as soon as I typed the equal sign to start a formula. I called VFO and was sent an email message from Microsoft that had a link to a tool for completely uninstalling Office 365. I ran the tool, but it quit halfway through. After much fighting, I finally managed to get Office 365 re-installed. The issue with typing formulas in Excel is now fixed, but Jaws isn’t able to read anything in Excel. It’s really sluggish, and, once in a while will read the contents of the cell I move into, but more often than not, Jaws remains silent.

This is my work desktop machine running Windows 7 and Jaws 2018, latest version.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, is there a fix?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

Somebody posted earlier about this. I was away for a couple of weeks and was just using my Windows 10 laptop, but when I was at work today where I still run Windows 7 along with Office 2016 via Office 365 subscription and Jaws 2018 the same thing is now happening as well.

If I start a new message and start typing a few letters so the auto complete should come up Outlook crashes.

I really hate Microsoft for screwing up Office all the time lately, Excel still crashes as well as soon as I type the equals sign to start a formula and FS or Microsoft barely fixes something when an Office update comes out and it’s messed up all over again.

Sieghard

Could you explain how to open a new console window? This terminology does
not sound familiar. Thank you.

Hi Robin,

See if the tip below will help you make the transition to Jaws:

JAWS Quick Key 1.2.0

GW Micro has upgraded the JAWS Quick Key App to version 1.2:

  by GW Micro

This script provides a mode to explore the Window-Eyes equivalent of common JAWS keystrokes. Press the JAWS Quick Key hot key (Insert-P, by default) to enter the quick key mode. Once in the mode, press a common JAWS keystroke. If an equivalent Window-Eyes keystroke is found, it will be reported. You will stay in the Quick Key mode until you press escape, or until focus changes. If you find JAWS keystrokes that are not mapped correctly, or are missing when Window-Eyes equivalent hot keys do exist, please contact us at support@....

Take care.  Mike.  Dodgers, try again next year!

Subject: Demystify the route pointer to cursor for me

I’m transitioning to JAWS from Window Eyes.  I use the WE command to route mouse pointer to cursor with some frequency with the Insert numpad plus.  In JAWS, this key command is saying something about cursor routed to JAWS cursor and that does not seem to be what I want.  Also, this morning I hit the Shift Insert and numpad plus key combo and it said some something about the touch cursor, and my keyboard did not work right after than until I figured out Escaped get me out of whatever I did.

Can someone help me understand how what I do in Window Eyes translates to JAWS?

1)      What keys do I hit to put the mouse pointer where my typing cursor is?

2)      What is the Insert numpad plus key doing when it says routed to JAWS cursor and how would I use that?

3)      What is happening when I hit Shift Insert  numpad plus and when do you use this?

Much appreciate.

Robin

Hi Robin,

Try the keystroke, Insert / Jaws key + Numpad minus key, & you should hear, Rout Jaws to PC.
