For instance, if I scroll line by line, the first word or so of the lines will sometimes be inaudible. This does not seem to happen when I'm playing other sounds, such as streaming music. I have checked my soundcard drivers using windows update, and it tells me they are up to date. I called Freedom Scientific, and was (shockingly) told that they had no suggestions. I also think the problem is most acute when headphones are plugged in, but I'm not certain about that. Any help would be appreciated. If I understood the functions of this ability it can be website specific and he can just use the placemarker list to go directly to that point. I just thought it was worth a suggestion. Hi Everyone, After the successful installation of the Windows 10 Fall package and the 2018 Beta 3 I have noticed that Eloquence is doing a few new and annoying speech behaviors. For example, with Alt / Tab the voice dips noticeably at the beginning when voicing the tab destination. Also when starting to read, the beginning of the sentence is likewise diminished. Not trying to be a Nattering Naybob of Negativism but wondering if I am alone in this observation. I’m pondering trying other voices as well but, having done so in the past, I find myself back with Eloquence. I did a complete restart in hopes of smoothing out these speech quirks but to no good end. Thanks for your time, Mitch

Doug Lee's TeamViewer script won't install to JAWS 18.
Steve Nutt
Hi all,
I realise this is an old script, and I don’t know if Doug is still supporting it. However, the Teamviewer script won’t install to JAWS 18, as the subject line says.
Here is the log output:-

Error: Couldn't open function file builtin.jsd for reading
End of output. Restoring this JAWS folder to its original state. JAWSInstallDirs is . All installations failed! Writing log file.
Any thoughts from anyone please?
Even if I do get it installed, would it support Teamviewer 12?
Thanks all.

CTRL will also stop the dictation thing. You could wait until you hear the sound again, though/that’s also a good way, just tto make sure you’re done talking and don’t have anything more to say/keeps typing if you’ve paused for a moment but pick back up again before the sound plays—I’m gonna say about a minute or two, I guess after the last word/s are spoken.

I'll give Control M a try. I'm using Internet Explorer and starting to dabble in Chrome.

How do you find out if there is a mic on your computer, if you want to experiment with this?

Re: how to insert row in excel
Carol Smith
Hi,

This is really nice. I was using the context (applications) key, but this is even easier. Is there a place where one can get a list of these types of commands for faster navigation through the program? I don't do much with spreadsheets, but would like to learn more. There are things I could do if I had more knowledge. I did take a Hadley course a couple of years ago and it was enough to help me get started. However, there is much more available that could simplify things even better. Thank you. Carol

that depends on the programs or what online services you use.
