windows update windows 10

marvin hunkin <startrekcafe@...>

Hi. have to do a trouble shooter and says the bit locker bit service server corrupted or registration corrupted, fixed that and also pending updates. If I do the creators fall update, will this fix this, or do you know of a program or tool, which will fix this. Wondering if I have a corrupted windows update.

Don’t want to have to reinstall windows 10, that would be over kill.

Any ideas.

Have not got any windows defender updates or any thing the last week or two. Last thing I got was the  kb 4440 cumlative  update.

And then last week did get the windows defender definition.

Any one had this same issue, running windows 10 64 bit 1703 64 bit.

Any ideas.

Marvin.

Hi. I can tell you about it. I am using it with jaws 18.04350, and also jaws 2018 beta. Well. You have to set up the jaws config.ini to set it to visual studio 2010, for it work to with visual studio. I am a blind it student, have done certificate iv from http://www.upskilled.edu.au and current doing a diploma of software development. Works great with jaws, and you can check for updates, under extensions and updates, under the tools menu. Customize the document not to be but to be docked.  More info and there’s a blind list at program-l@... and also blindgeeks@.... The only thing which dosent work with jaws is the entity designer, very visual, and blend, I think works, but have not worked enough with it. Able to set up the code windows not to speak numbers, you can set it up for low vision users, different colours, and there’s no real scripts, there’s was scripts for vs 2003, 2005, 2008, but that project was abandoned, Jamel mazre was the lead developer. Well unless I have set it up wrong, jaws not saying the default project, and also with visual studio 2017, community version, professional or enterprise, the installer is more accessible then 2015. It works like a web installer, have installed and updated it several times. Yes, c #, visual basic, web services, asp dot net, html, and web projects, have not used c++, but I  it works, projects for blank projects, sql server, xamerim, ios, and android templates as well, but have not tried them. It does work with jaws. It may work better with nvda, but do have it on my Toshiba satellite pro, but only use it now and again. Jaws is my main screen reader. Apart from blend and the entity designer,  else works, even the sql server project, and templates, and you can go to the server explorer and set up databases there.i hope that helps. If your student needs more info you can e-mail me off line via startrekcafe@....

Marvin.

Ps: about to do the major project a shopping cart, and maybe use the visual studio code editor, or dreamweaver, notepad, edge sharp, which is a javascript editor.

Happy coding.

Marvin from Australia.

Tom, I do apologize. I know you said to email groups but, that made me think that you might be having problems working on managing your group here on groups I owe. I'm glad that that's not the case. I hope that you're able to get your issue resolved.

I appreciate your response, though.

Hello again, everyone.

As I reported earlier, I just updated my Windows 7 laptop here to Jaws 18.0.4350.

I was hoping the update would solve a problem that I have been experienceing with e-mail groups in Outlook 2016.

Basically, for the past few months, I have found myself unable to navigate the names in an Outlook 2016 e-mail group via the up and down arrow keys. I used to be able to do this with no problem.

Now, it is very difficult to determine exactly who is in an e-mail group, which, of course, leads to difficulties when trying to update or edit the group.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, have you found a fix for it?

Again, I’m using Jaws 18.0.4350 with Windows 7 and (Outlook 2016.

Hi all,

I need some information for a student who needs to use Visual Studio and I am not familiar with that software.  Can someone give me some information as to how well JAWS works with Visual Studio out of the box or how much customizing is needed.  I am assuming for now that this student is using the latest version.

I also heard that Visual Studio may work better with NVDA.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

You can also press Shift + space to select the current row, and then applications key and arrow down to Insert, and press enter to insert a row above the current row.

Try reinstalling the mail app!

You can find the mail app, Shift+F10, and choose uninstall. Then, you can go to the store, do a search for the Mail app, and reinstall it.

Hello,
Well? This is weird. After successfully updating to the 1709th update to Windows 10, still having JAWS 18.0.4350, I can't seem to send e-mails with my regular hotkey of alt s. Of course, this is through the mail ap. I have sent two messages so far, using the ribbons but thought that hotkey would come back in use? Is there another hotkey to send messages now/will I have to go to ribbons and arrow left once to send? It's no problem either way; just curious and thought it strange. I'll be using this for a while, so ... "Therefore, don't be anxious for tomorrow. For Tomorrow will be anxious for itself ... That's from Matthew, but sorry I can't find chapter/verse right now.

Hi! I wrote this about a month ago. Maybe it will come in handy:

Hope it helps!

Hi, Elise. I found the following article on Google about how to delete
subscriptions to other people's channels on Youtube. Between us, I think we
can tame this monster. The article is below.

Update your YouTube subscriptions by deleting unwanted subscriptions.

Subscribing to another user's channel on YouTube automatically adds to your
home page a video thumbnail link to the user's uploaded video clips and
favorite video clips. If your interests change and you no longer want to
see
the other user's video uploads and favorites, you can remove the
subscription from the "Subscriptions" section of your YouTube home page.

1. Sign in to YouTube to open your home page.

2. Click the "Subscriptions" button in the gray toolbar toward the top of
the home page. YouTube displays recent video uploads for each of your
subscriptions on the main part of the page.

3. Scroll down the page to find the subscription that you want to remove.
If
you can't find the subscription on the first page, click the "Load More
Videos" button at the bottom of the page to find additional subscriptions.

4. Click the username link above the subscription that you want to remove.
YouTube opens the user's channel home page.

5. Click the down-arrow button beside "Subscribed" at the top of the
channel
page.

6. Click the red "Unsubscribe" link in the bottom right corner of the gray
options pane. YouTube removes the subscription.

Hello, everyone. Does anyone know how to delete subscriptions from my
youtube account. I click on "subscriptions" and, once or twice, I have
magically found myself under the manage subscriptions. But, for the life of
me, I cannot figure out how to delete these subscriptions. These are
channels I have subscribed that are other people's videos, not a personal
channel. I would really appreciate any help I can get with this. I have
been
trying to figure this out for the longest time. Thanks!

Jennifer Jackson Re: off topic, Chrome Book

Carol Smith

Can anyone give me details as to how to go about setting up my brother's Chromebook? He has speech, but he can't do anything with it. He said that YouTube says he needs to find the search key and then he can use that to help him get around the screen with Vox. Unfortunately, he has noone to help him and I have no idea about Chrome.

Google calls that screen reader chrome Vox. You toggle it on and off with the control plus alt plus Z combination. If you are familiar with using Google Chrome on other machines, you will probably find it easier to maneuver vann I am as a new google chrome user on my laptop. I am learning this Chrome Book stuff for my son because that is what his school has him using. On Oct 19, 2017, at 9:04 PM, Carol Smith via Groups.Io <carollablady=aol.com@groups.io> wrote:

Hi,

Please excuse the off topic here, butt can anyone contact me about whether not a Chrome book laptop has built-in speech and if so, how does one turn the speech on? Thank you for any response.
