Hello, everyone.

I have recently noticed a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 17.0.

For some reason, words are often run together in the document when I’m trying to read it.

This problem does not appear on the visual screen.  In other words, if someone sighted looks at the document, it looks fine, with no words or characters run together.

This seems to occur mainly with Microsoft Word documents that have been converted to a PDF file format.

I’m thinking that this problem might be a Jaws issue, because the document displays fine visually.

Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, is there something I need to change either in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Jaws to make documents read more properly?

What is the name of your icon in the system tray?

I went into the system tray, found the “Google Drive” button, activated it, and was able to read the controls that were displayed. To find out how much storage was in use, I needed to use the touch cursor, but I could navigate between the buttons with Tab and Shift+tab.

The new one is not very good the part you use to log in and the menue down by your clock is not reading!

I just tried it with JAWS here. When I run it, I’m placed in a File Explorer window that shows my Google Drive files.

What exactly isn’t working for you?

And it is not working with Jaws, I am on 18 and win 10.

I changed the subject line to be more descriptive.  The JAWS date translation setting is what you want to change.  Below I will give you one approach; the other is to use the JAWS key plus v command.  Personally, I find the steps below to be a bit easier, so I will give you my preferred option.  The steps are:

1.        Press JAWS key and F2.

2.        Press s 3 times  for “Settings Center” and press enter.

3.       JAWS will put you in the search box.  Enter the word date and press enter.  Arrow down to the item “”date translation”.

4.       Press the space bar to cycle through the options.  When you get to “some translation”, press enter.

5.       Press the alt key and F4 to close, select “yes” to save the changes.

Kodi is a program that runs on Windows, Android, Lenix, Raspberry Pi, and iOS.

It is compatible with all of the above-mentioned platforms, but the Kodi screen reader is only compatible with Kodi 16.1 on Windows. The screen reader will not work with Kodi 17.3 or 17.4 currently. It's operated by the keyboard. Jaws will not read its contents, hence the reason for Kodi having its own reader.

Just based on the file size of a bit over 1000 KB I am doubting that this is the offline installer.  

If someone happens to have the offline installer that would be ideal.
