Hello, everyone.
I have recently noticed a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 17.0.
For some reason, words are often run together in the document when I’m trying to read it.
This problem does not appear on the visual screen. In other words, if someone sighted looks at the document, it looks fine, with no words or characters run together.
This seems to occur mainly with Microsoft Word documents that have been converted to a PDF file format.
I’m thinking that this problem might be a Jaws issue, because the document displays fine visually.
Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, is there something I need to change either in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or Jaws to make documents read more properly?
Thanks as always!

I just wanted to let those of you who have expressed interest in my group that I spoke of earlier, know that the Kodi users group has been created, and has been approved, and should be up and running for those that would like to join. Now just as a disclaimer, this is my first group that I've ever created and ran, so please be patient with me as I go along here, but hopefully it won't take too long to iron out all the wrinkles. I suggest trying the F6 key, which cycles through several fields. I find that can help me get to the web page itself. Dave is an expert, so if this hint is wrong or incomplete, he can give us the real scoop! BTW, I am using JAWS 17 with the latest Chrome.

Hi Paul, To my knowledge, it should be available for iOS. I very well may be wrong. It's prob not in the app store because of Apple wanting folks to strictly buy from Apole. But I'm not sure where you'd find it for iOS. As a side note, the screen reader wouldn't wotk for iOS anyway. I heard it only works for Windows. But you say you use it on a Raspberry Pie? Hello Pastor Gil,
I changed the subject line to be more descriptive. The JAWS date translation setting is what you want to change. Below I will give you one approach; the other is to use the JAWS key plus v command. Personally, I find the steps below to be a bit easier, so I will give you my preferred option. The steps are:
1. Press JAWS key and F2. 2. Press s 3 times for “Settings Center” and press enter. 3. JAWS will put you in the search box. Enter the word date and press enter. Arrow down to the item “”date translation”. 4. Press the space bar to cycle through the options. When you get to “some translation”, press enter. 5. Press the alt key and F4 to close, select “yes” to save the changes. Tim Ford

Jonas,
Thanks, but I don't need it myself as I never upgraded and currently have Google Drive Sync installed and continuing to run on my machine. I also tend to avoid getting installers anywhere except "from the source" or from someone I definitely trust who has an archived copy of their own. What's running on my machine is Google Drive Sync Version 2.34.6425.2548, so what is on the site you gave the link to is very old indeed (and the downloads likely full of bundled bloatware and/or PUPs). -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1703, Build 15063 (dot level on request - it changes too often to keep in signature)
