Hi All,

Here is why I keep IE, Firefox, and Chrome browsers on my computer.   BTW, I have the final update to JAWS 17, and am running the most up to date Windows 10.

I was trying to get a TV station video clip to play.  I first tried Chrome, since it had the best reputation for working with JAWS on video streaming.  Although JAWS could see the play button, nothing I tried would start the video.  Same result with Firefox.  I then tried, with no expectation of success, Internet Explorer.  IE worked just fine and the play and pause buttons worked just as one would expect.  Go figure.

Re: labeling a new key

I understand that but I never got a answer to my original question and that was can you add a new key combination like Shift F5 to the set of key labels. It was easy to do within Window Eyes but I don't see anything in the help documentation to do it with Jaws. Maybe this should be one of the functions from Window Eyes that could be added to Jaws.

With thunderbird open hit insert 6.
In the edit box type lab
On the key label search results hit the space bar
In the list of all key labels find F5.
Tab to change key label and hit enter
Change the key label to say Get Mail and hit enter
Now find the entry for shift and change its key label by backing out its enter thus leaving it blank.
Tab to all the necessary ok and apply buttons and get back to the Thunderbird screen.
Now if you enter Shift F5 it says Get mail .

Hi Listers,

I have a Outlook 2007 question.

When  I go in to my empty in-box, Jaws says, “Ere are no items in this view,” instead of saying, “There are no items in this view.”

For some reason, Jaws is not seeing the t h in there.

Is there some way to fix this?

Thanks,

Pastor Gil

Re: strange dropbox issue

Jed: the option is now called "copy Dropbox link." So, I go to system tray with Jaws 11. Arrow to dropbox; Enter to open the dropbox menu; press Enter to open the dropbox folder; find the file in the folder where you stored it; hit the applications key (right side, left of the control key.) Find "Copy dropbox link." That shoud do it. I hope it does.
