Okay, I really goofed on that explanation. You hit alt, shift f and either arrow down to download as or hit the letter D to get there quickly. I apologize for that really big goof.

You can determine who you share the Google Drive products with and what level of editing is available. It is frequently used in schools but can be sued any time you need to work on something with others. The commands are different than commands for Word, PPT and Excel. Hello everyone,
I'll be starting an internship coming up this week, and the people I'm going to work for had a few questions. Firstly, they wanted to have some sort of data entry program that would log in their customers info. I suggested using something like Excel, but they said that Excel was a little too complex for what they were wanting to do. They said they wanted to use something like a Google Sheets to do this. Is Google Sheets accessible with jaws? Or is there another program that can handle data entry?

Also, I'm going to be composing some newsletters and various brochures. They currently use Microsoft Publisher. Is Microsoft Publisher accessible with jaws 18?

Thanks for any and all assistance, Shane.

so, if it's not a problem with JAWS, why doesn't J16's weather RI work?
I still get no results, although I can just as easily go to the website.
but it sure would have been nice if RI would have been fixed in J16.

Nothing more to say, really. For a while JAWS couldn't read the site
for Research It. Then a new release corrected that. But when you tried
to go to the current forecast, the information wasn't there. Now it
is! This is not a JAWS thing at all, but the web site itself. So.
Since the site is fixed, Research It displays what you would expect.

BTW, the web site is
www.braille.wunderground.com

it is a terrific web site for checking weather.

Inserting Youtube video into PowerPoint2016 presentation JAWS18

Shai

Hello,
I am looking to be able to insert a YouTube video into a
PowerPoint2016 presentation into part of a slide with JAWS18. The rest
of the slide will have my own text. I have tried reading the article
from office support on this topic, but I notice that with JAWS, I am
able to get to the insert video dialog and nothing else.
Any help would be appreciated
Also, if anyone can give me some tips on how to get it so that I can
play it back and pause at will as well as how I can remove the video
if need be that would be great.
Thank you in advance

Re: microsoft edge and Jaws 18

Listen to the latest FS Cast for more information, it sounds like there will b official Edge support still with Jaws 18 and this was demonstrated at CSUN in March.

Since Jaws 19 comes out in 6 months and the Jaws 19 public beta will most likely be available in 4 months I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a Jaws 18 update with Edge support later in May or in June. In the meantime there really is no reason to be disappointed, it’s not like there aren’t other good browser options out there, I would say with one or two exceptions Google Chrome currently is the best choice available.

Sieghard

Hello,

In the publically released JAWS 18.0 builds, Edge support is not yet available.

Information will be provided by VFO soon on when it will be ready.

It takes a lot of time, and effort to do it, since it requires to re-architect large portions of JAWS.

Best,

Adi.

Re: jaws and Basic-d

Hello,

This is not a JAWS related question.

You need to install the latest drivers from Index Braille - downloadable from their website, to enable correct functionality of the printer.
The only models that can connect wirelessly are the Index Basic D-V5 series.
You also need a functional Braille translation and embossing software.

Hi All,

I was trying to use MS Edge, but I can’t.  It is still not accessible.  I’ve upgraded my windows 10 to the latest version, the creator’s edition, Jaws is up-to-date.

Are there any settings e have to setup to make it work?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
