posted it yesterday. Your problem may well have been a defect in JAWS.

Hi Deb,

Press insert+j to go into the JAWS window or the JAWS menu if you're running JAWS in the system tray. Open the Options menu or submenu and press enter on Basics. In the Basic Settings dialog, you'll land on Tutor Messages, which is the first set of radio buttons. Use your down arrow to get to "turn off menu and control help", and press enter. That oughta do it... Tom

The following steps will help you. 1. press JAWSKey+J to bring focus to the jaws window, or jaws menu depending on your configuration. 2. if you are in a menu, this means your jaws window was in the system tray. Press the letter O. If you simply here JAWS then this means it's an actual window, so you'll need to press alt+O to bring up the options menu. 3. Press the letter B for the basics... dialog. 4. the 1st control you'll land in is what you want, use up and down arrows to highlight the turn off menu and control help radio button. 5. if you wish to turn off access keys as well, press tab once, and arrow up and down until you find the off radio button. 6. Press enter to activate the OK button and exit the dialog. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Have a great night. Shane Davidosn

I have versions 11,12,and 13 on my computer. Each one has a different shortcut key; J for 13, F for 12 and W for 11. I will probably drop 11 after a while. Tom

Hi,
How would I install JAWS 13 while still having version 12 on my computer? I don't understand how you select which one would start up when Windows starts. Where does JAWS start up from?
