I should have given a little more specific answer.

Once you are in the adjust voice dialogue you will see the list of profiles as you said.  If you select the vocalizer expressive profile then tab over 4 times you will find “all context.  This is where you can make voice changes.  Tab again and you will be in a list of the vocalizer expressive voices you installed.

I hope this helps a little more.

Hi Everyone,  I’m stuck and need a refresher on switching to and selecting a different voice profile.

I want to switch to Nathan Premium which is installed on my version of JAWS 18 but can’t find the voice.

I use the Control plus Insert plus S keystroke combination and end up with a slow-talking female in the Vocalizer synthesizer selection.  I can’t find the other voices as the Tab or Enter keys do nothing.

I also tried to follow the instructions in the Daisy book on Voice Profiles but did not get the advertised behavior and am hoping for some help from the list to correct something I am doing in error or omission.

Thanks as always, Mitch

Hi,
Yet another resounding yes: no need for virtual machines if you want to run
command-line tools such as Git, Python, PSQL (PostgreSQL) and others, as you
can do so thanks to Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) in 64-bit Anniversary
Update and later.

I've been aware of it for a while and soon expect to be in a position to try
it. For a full Linux installation (X Window System, server applications,
etc.), one still needs virtualization, but it's the command line and console
environment that I use most in Linux anyway.

The other option would be to run Windows 10 on a Linux host inside a KVM
virtual machine.

Hi all. I had some off and on problems with the Kaiser web site in regards to emailing doctors and other departments using Jaws 16 and later. The main problem is to the continue to email my doctor button. This button is usually somewhere on the web page, but is hard to find. Using b for button only brings up the search edit box. Has anyone that deals with this site have any tips and tricks they would like to share?

Thanks.

When I wanted a script to press the applications key, I typed

[shift+f10]

That is: left bracket the word "shift" then the plus sign, then "f10" right bracket. No spaces.
and it worked!

Using JAWS 17, I used the command look-up feature to
determine how to highlight, copy, and paste a Web Address
from, for example, Internet Explorer into a document.

I found out that JawsKey + a will read the address or put
the Jaws Cursor on the Web Address (though I found this did
not actually work in practice), but I was pretty sure there
was a way to copy the web address into the keyboard buffer
and then paste it into a document with control + v.

Alas! Perhaps I'm just imagining this useful feature is in
Jaws

Well, I use pamela without problems. You must use the jaws cursor in
the settings, but it does work. I think mp3 skype recorder is far to
basic. That is why I love pamela. I'm using the call recorder adition.
I hope they improve access, but its very much usable. Try a demo so
you can decide for yourself. Its the only one that record mp3, wave
and ogg wich is ausom.

Very much so. The only thing you need to touch is the initial settings & to
tell it where you want the files saved. It runs in the background on
windows
startup. Once Skype is launched with it running you will need to authorize
it with Skype and your done. All calls with Skype are recorded in MP3
format
on the drive & folder you specify. You can use the default settings then it
saves to a folder on drive C:. Install it, get it running & if need be give
me a Skype call. Skype handle is luis.difut

Thanks. I'll try it.

So, last I heard on the windows side it's not accessible, but I assume
since
it's been years with you using it, the program is accessible?

Hi,

Has anyone heard or used Pamela?

Apparently, pamela records skype calls, so before I purchase it, I'm
wondering if it's jaws accessible.

Thanks.
