select the language. There are Vocalizer Expressive versions 1 and 2 as well as Vocalizer Direct, for jfw 14 I am pretty sure that only vocalizer direct is going to work but I suppose expressive version 1 might as well. In any case the name (direct or expressive) will match the name in synthesizer and braille manager, I do know expressive version 2 only became available with jfw18.

Hi there. My name is Alyssa. I’ve been a JAWS user for almost 20 years. Phew. The program has surely come a long way since I first started.
Anyway, enough about that. I purchased a Bluetooth speaker to use with one of my computers. When connected, JAWS’ audio is seriously delayed to the point it sounds like there is a malfunction with the unit. I then tried hard-wiring it. Sure, that helped a little but not as much as I would like. When I use this same speaker with my iPhone and Voiceover, I have no issues at all.
Have any of you ever experienced this with a Bluetooth product? If so, did you find a way to fix it?
I have a headset that JAWS works just fine with, so I’m not sure what the problem is here. I was considering just using this speaker for my phone and laptop when it returns from being repaired, but if this is going to be an ongoing issue, then I think I may return it.

hey guys:
I have jaws 14 and windows 7.
Tonight I downloaded and installed the vocalizer alison voice using the
typical instll button versus the custom button;
when it finished, it told me it was successful;
I then restarted jaws like it told me too;
I next went into voice-adjustment from the jaws window options menu and
did not see any reference to vocalizer express alison etc at all in the
voice profile list.
earlier in the day I installed tom and jill realspeak solo direct voices
with no problem,
and those do appear in the voice profile list.
did I miss something here?
Please advise.

I’m not sure what you are wanting to do but it works with Jaws here. Be sure to select the classic skin and you should be able to reach any settings you wish with a combination of PC and JAWS cursor.

Acrobat Frustrations
Nicole Massey <nyyki@...>
I'm having a problem with Adobe Acrobat Standard. When I try to access a
document it only gives me the headers and footers of the document. I've tried several other things, but nothing seems to remedy this difficulty. I have to access the document in K1000 to get the content, and since OCR is an inexact process I can't do proofing work for spelling if I have to take this direction, so it's something of an issue. This happens to PDF files I was able to access before, and from a wide array of earlier versions of Acrobat, so it's not a need to upgrade issue. Any ideas? I'm running Acrobat 9, Jaws 17, and Windows 7. This is not Acrobat Reader -- it's the full version of Acrobat. All of these are updated to current specifications, too.
