The reason I never tried it was I couldn’t tell whether checking meant keeping an item or deleting it.

Mike, I am using CCleaner free and always have been. I cannot answer the accessibility question with any precision since I haven't attempted to operate CCleaner via screen reader. I believe that others who do have stated that it is either completely accessible or "accessible enough" that the common tasks can be performed as needed. The one thing one has to be careful about is what options under the Cleaner function one checks. For instance, many people have no idea that "MRUs" are Most Recently Used lists and, if you choose to delete these, your jump lists (as they're more often called) and recent files lists in various applications get nuked as part of the cleanup. -- A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back

site issue
Chad Brown <cbrown@...>
Hello all, Wondering if anyone has used iVisions by Tyler technologies? It is a web portal to track expenses pay stubs and the like. In my place of work we are going to start using this. My issue is that I see a text string and am told that it has a pull down list if you hover with the mouse. It reads just self-service to me and nothing else. I have tried the control JAWS key and enter with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. If anyone is aware of someone at VFO who could remote in with me to explore this that would also be helpful. Thank you.

Sieghard Weitzel <sieghard@...>
Hi Pablo,
OK, got it, when I tried it I wasn’t in editing mode as in when I was composing, replying or forwarding an email. Now I realized that F4 is just another keystroke for Control+F, but as I said, it only works when you are writing a message and not when you are reading one. Here Jaws Key+Control+F will still allow you to find things and just as Gudrun said, th Jaws Find option is one I use all the time especially on web pages. If I know there should be a download button or a link with a certain word I more often use Jaws Find then the links list.
Regards, Sieghard

Brian and Mike,
I've used both the free and paid versions of
CCleaner. Both are very accessible, I'm happy to report. I especially like how
easily I can work with the startup section, enabling, disabling, or removing
startup processes. CCleaner does not require me to reboot after this process,
which I find time-saving. OF course, I suspect that a reboot would eventually be
needed to complete the disabling process.
It's a very good application, and it also has a
monitoring feature, which even works with the free version.

What is being described, and Ted did a good job with "plain gunked up," is browser cache corruption. Your browsing history is not related to browser cache in any meaningful way. It's just a compiled list of the URLs/links you've visited, so clearing browsing history itself doesn't generally help at all. Every web browser has its own method of clearing browser cache and you can find what it is for yours by doing a web search on the name of the browser you're using along with "clear cache." Personally, I find a number of the "in browser" cache clearing processes very slow. I have been using Piriform's CCleaner utility for years now and one of the cleanup things I have it do is to clear browser cache. I run it about once a month or so, or anytime I start getting very irregular behavior in a browser that can't be explained (and that hasn't happened in a very long while since I've been routinely cleaning browser cache). -- A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep. ~ Saul Bellow, To Jerusalem and Back
