Subject: Finding Calendar in Outlook 2010

Hi.
I am using Jaws 12 with Outlook 2010.
Does anybody know how I can get to and read the calendar.
I can find the calendar by going to the file tab and arrowing down to the
open tab.
When I hit enter on the open tab, it says open calendar.
I hit enter on that and it asks me to type in a file name.
That is where I get stuck.
In Outlook 2003 I could go to calendar and arrow across from date to date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Eric.

I have not figured out why I seem to get "stuck" in the tool bar. I'm
running 13 now but seemed to have the same problem with 12. Sometimes I can
just hit tab a few times and get down into the page, other times hitting tab
just cycles through the toolbar. Somtimes switching to the virtual cursor
helps, other times nothing helps.

Awesome! Forgotten about that one. Wish I could figure out how to assign it
to a single-letter navigation key. Anyone know how these keys have been
coded/programmed?

Yes. However, F6 sometimes takes two presses. Control-F6 focuses you right
back on the page. The suggestion came from Negoslav, and it works every time
for me.

IF tabbing does not get you out and just cycles through, it's usually
because the page has not finished loading. Try F5 to refresh.

I've also cursed at the whole IE interface every time I get "stuck" up
there in that area. I've turned off everything I can think of and still
there are elements that grab my cursor if I'm careless enough to tab
beyond the bottom of a page.

Don't know any answers, as it's more to do with IE7 and IE8 layout than
JAWS.

I've also cursed at the whole IE interface every time I get "stuck" up there
in that area. I've turned off everything I can think of and still there are
elements that grab my cursor if I'm careless enough to tab beyond the bottom
of a page.

Don't know any answers, as it's more to do with IE7 and IE8 layout than
JAWS.

Dave...

IF tabbing does not get you out and just cycles through, it's usually
because the page has not finished loading. Try F5 to refresh.

Instead of checking and unchecking that box just right click on the link you used to open the document and choose copy shortcut then paste that in to your email i.e. get the link before you open the document.

I hope my experience this morning is worth passing along.

I discovered a problem with one of the Adobe Reader recommended settings for
accessibility. This is the one that you uncheck the option to have Adobe
open in the Web browser. You get to that checkbox by pressing control-k
while in Adobe Reader and then tabbing through the options.

The advantage of unchecking this box is that JAWS, or another screenreader,
can avoid conflicts between Adobe and the browser. The disadvantage, as I
just realized, is that you lose the Internet address where the PDF file is
located. I was sending an item to someone and rather than attach the PDF
file, I wanted to insert the link into the body of the message. When I
restored the checkmark to the Adobe setting, the Internet address appeared
and I copied it into the message.

In the future, depending on the situation, I may find myself checking and
unchecking this item. fortunately, it's easy to get to.

I downloaded 13, but I have not yet installed it. I am not happy about the
reports that it is not as stable as the last beta version. I wonder what
they did between that version and the final release. I have been out of the
JAWS news loop for a long, long time, but seems like they are rushing new
versions out way too fast. To be cynical it seems like it may be a way to
keep the SMA money rolling in. I am happy with 12 and I may wait a while to
install 13 at this rate. They will no doubt come out with updates to
improve 13, but I have had far too many other computer glitches and issues
in the last few weeks to worry about dealing with a version of JAWS that is
less stable than the one I am using.

Actually, under JAWS Help Eudora is listed as supported, well at least

That's not surprising. Same attitude w/r MS-Access. Interestingly also
the same attitude w/r XP Mode in Windows 7 -- not supported. But works
with a major competitor, I've heard.

I believe it has been reported, though they "don't support Eudora"
since it is not updated since 2006.

While I am reading messages in Eudora, when I delete the first
message, it re-reads the last line I am focused on in the message
before beginning to read the next message. If I tap the "next
sentence" key while auto-reading, (the right shift key), it often
stops and then goes to the next message, but it is kind of problematic
when I do that.
If I change the view to Eudora's internal viewer, it matters not,
still the same behavior. This did not happen in the betas, only with
the full release of JAWS13. It does not happen using JAWS12 or earlier.
