Sandra,

When on a web page use your applications key and select log in to captcha be bone and then use it again to search for captchas. If this does not work, they have a link to contact them on their web page where you signed up. Let us know how you make out

Hi, all,

Now that I’ve downloaded Captchabegone, could someone give me simple instructions for using it on a website? Neither the video on the website, nor the instructions given there, were clear enough. thanks!

I have kindle for pc on windows ten and it seems to work fine on my computers.  Yes, it’s tricky getting it signed in to amazon but once you do that, your good to go.  I’d advise just using the kindle software as a downloader though and converting the books to epub using codex and reading with Kurzweil or q-read though if you can.

has there actually been a specific update for Windows 10? The last time I attempted to use it was about nine months ago with JAWS 16 and it did not work. According to their web site the last time it had been updated was for Windows 7. If there has been an actual update I’ll try it again but when I contacted Amazon to address this issue I found them to be very unhelpful.

I have the Kindle PC software with the accessibility plug-in, and the package speech works OK, but JAWS 17 does not seem to handle the menu very well. I have not been able to follow through to “register” the Kindle with Amazon, and the library doesn’t seem accessible through the menu. Is anyone using Kindle PC satisfactorily?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm tired of internet explorer stopping on me.

Thanks!

If you want the short list of the most commonly used keyboard shortcuts in the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar apps see this article on Microsoft's site:

Re: what is the official site for the JFW list postings?

And, just in case anyone might want to get "the brief skinny" on interacting with the JFW Group via e-mail rather than the web interface, send an e-mail to:

                          main+help@jfw.groups.io

and you get a response back telling how to subscribe, manage your subscription options, post, etc.

Even if using the website (which I do) to interact with the group you will have to join/subscribe to the group before you can post.  You can do this by hitting the "Join this Group" button on the main page for the group, which is https://jfw.groups.io/g/main

Re: picking which account to send message from windows mail

Mark,

Unless you have linked your inboxes, the account being actively used at the moment will be the one from which any new message you compose will be sent.

I've not linked my inboxes simply because I use different accounts for different purposes and always want to know which account I'm using at any moment and know that the messages I compose are definitely going to be sent from that account.  Based on what I can see as far as settings go, I suspect that even if you're using the linked inbox what will happen for replies is that the account associated with that message will be used.  I honestly have no idea what will happen if you hit the "New Mail" button from the linked inbox.  My gut tells me that it will use the account of whatever message happens to have focus at that moment since there doesn't appear to be any "default account" setting that I can find.

Partition Assistant

Alan Robbins

Went to use this program today and discovered it is not compatible with Windows 10. I often used this program in Windows 7 as it allowed adjusting partition size on hard drives “on the fly” and was JAWS compatible, for the most part. Anyone know of a utility such as this that works with Windows 10, 64 bit and is compatible with JAWS?

Thanks,

Al

Moving An Email To A Different Folder

Elise Berkley

Hello, everyone.
I am having a problem.  I have emails that are sent to me and they end up in my junk folder.  I mark them as the sender being safe.  Then, I use the application key and move the email to my in box under my email address.  When I go to my in box, the email is not there.  I do a search and still cannot find it.  What am I doing wrong?  Where else can I look?  I have lost some important emails this way because I cannot find them.  I am using Windows Live.  Thank you for your help.

Hi Ryan, I'm not sure if this is what you are asking, but the following URL  takes you to the message website for this list, where you can browse and search preview posts.

Some will not necessarily be about JAWS necessarily but will be about

Hey there! Have any of you guys gone to customer service to get "help" from freedom scientific's tech support personnel?   They have this miserable person working there, she's absolutely awful, I can't believe they would put this kind of person there to help people who are struggling with assistive software.  She just resented the fact that I would even phone in and ask any questions, and she couldn't get off the phone quickly enough. Does anyone have any resources they can go to where they can get reliable help? I need to make Jaws accessible for dyslexia, and turn off all that stupid contextual chatter, as much as possible.  I just want it to read math equations, at a third year university, (chemistry) level.  I have gotten it to work recently, and then today, again I turned it on, and it won't read anything that but the menus and the context.  Need to know what settings will allow me to read the math, turn off the contextual dialogue, and how to save these settings.

Thanks so much in Advance,

Ben
