Please send me the Outlook tutorial as well.

I'm using Outlook 2016, but I suspect that much of the info in the 2013
tutorial would be applicable to my situation.

My personal e-mail address is:

hi all, passing along a detailed explanation of born-again productions, in answer to sharon's question. enjoy! in addition, i took library of congress courses in braille transcription and proofreading and submitted braille assignments for grading and approval, using a perkins brailler (long before computers and embossing software/embossers).

Doug, I think you should say:

I transcribe text files that I receive by electronic mail, into embossed Grade II Braille.
Some of the documents that I have transcribed into hard copy Grade II Braille are:

* In conjunction with several churches, local and remote, I have
transcribed:
o the Church's "order of service",
o text of Hymns that are projected onto screens for the sighted
were emailed prior to Streaming Broadcasts, so that blind
readers can sing along with the congregation.
* dining room meal schedules
* Activity Schedules
* other documents as required in this home for the visually challenged.

Books and pamphlets that I can read electronically were transcribed into electronic Grade II Braille, formatted in such a way as to minimize Braille hard copy. Several Textbooks were transcribed into Electronic Braille, and returned by email to the Whitney Library for the Blind.

My Braille equipment consists of Re-manufactured, and used hardware, and associated software.

* A typical PC running Windows 7, with
* JAWS and NVDA Screen Readers,
* Duxbury Braille translator,
* Focus 80 tactile Braille keypad,
* Juliet Embossing machine.
* RefreshaBraille accessory that works with my I-phone so I can read
incoming Text messages in Braille that come by phone.

Doug, You can probably add more detail to the above explanation. Do not be afraid to be precise. You have amazing skills that impreese everyone that meets you.

Let me know how this turns out.
GOD bless!

Indeed it is. Searching the Web for an answer is often faster than trying to

Re: Update And Question On Importing g-mail Contacts List Into Outlook 2016

Tom Behler

Dave:

I'm not sure if I understand your question completely, but here's what I
know.

On my old computer, my University contacts were being accessed via the
University's Microsoft Exchange server, while my personal g-mail contacts
were being accessed by the g-mail imap server. This is still the case on
the new computer.

Also, I discovered something today, when reviewing the list of Outlook
shortcuts.

Control shift B. which I use to access my university e-mail contacts is a
contacts list, while control 3 which I use to access my personal g-mail
contacts is labeled as an address book.

Don't know what the conceptual difference between a contacts list and an
address book is, but I think that's part of my problem.

Again, I'd like to be able to access both contacts lists via control shift
B. on the new laptop if possible.

Tom,

On your old computer, were your University contacts being accessed via an
Enterprise server, and your others, not?

Carolyn:

My problem is that I have two separate contacts lists; one for my
University, and one for my personal g-mail account.

On my older computer with Outlook 2010, I used to be able to locate each
list after doing a control shift B.

For some reason now, I can't get both contact lists to be accessed via this
usual process.

One I access via control shift B., while the other I use control 3.

Not an end-of-the-world kind of thing, but it would be nice to have one way
to access both sets of contacts.

I don't know with gmail being a part of the picture, since my provider is my
phone company. However, I can just go to my contact list, and arrow to any
of my distribution lists.
I can hit enter to get into one. They are a little hard to modify. I'm not
having problem adding a contact, but I just about have to make the list all
over again to make a new one.

One time Gene suggested saving the addresses for a list and then using them
whenever anyone would want to use the list.

Bye for now,

Carolyn

All:

I'm re-sending the quiry below, in case it didn't go through the first
time.

I have been working over the last day or two to get Outlook
2016 working on this computer, so it's always possible the initial e-mail
didn't go through.

I promise I won't post this quiry again, since I don't want to abuse my list
membership.

Any thoughts regarding my quiry would be appreciated.

Hello, everyone.

After quite a bit of effort, and another call to the Microsoft Accessibility
Hotline, I now have my personal g-mail contacts list imported into Outlook
2016 on my Windows 7 laptop.

However, there is one problem remaining:

I have two contacts lists in Outlook 2016-My University contacts list, and
my personal g-mail contacts list.

To access my University contacts list, I use the control shift B function as
I have always done.

However, I have not been able to accomplish this for my personal g-mail
contacts list.

Now, in Outlook 2016, if I want to access my personal g-mail contacts list,
I have to use control 3, and then when I am done, I have to use control 1 to
get out of that contacts list.

Does anyone know how I can get my personal g-mail contacts list imported
properly so that it can be accessed via control shift B, like I do to access
my University contacts list?

I used to be able to access both contacts lists in Outlook
2010 with no problem.

The Microsoft Accessibility Hotline technicians do not know how to
accomplish this.

Sorry to obsess on this, but I simply have to believe it's possible!
