Re: Texting App or program
Gene Stevens
Thanks, I’ll look into this option.
Gene, In addition to Mario's excellent suggestion you might want to look into Google Hangouts if you have a Google Account. I believe if you use the web interface instead of the App it's accessible (for all I know the App may now be accessible via Narrator or using the touch cursor). You end up
selecting a phone number, for no charge, and people can text you directly via
that number. I use my Google Voice/Google Hangouts number far more often
than my actual cell phone for texting. Brian

That worked well. It will do for the moment. I'm one of those stubborn old ones who has resisted the addition of a smart phone and touch technology for to long now.Looks like it's time to bite the bullet and go there. LOL.

Re: designating in box as primary in Outlook 2013
Lauren, I don't know which of the following webpages will be the most JAWS friendly, but one should be. Each gives step-by-step instructions for changing your default inbox (these steps did not change that I know of for Outlook 2013 and I think they're the same for Outlook 2016, too):
I suspect that Outlook is opening with the Outlook folders by default, and this folder set is not associated with any specific e-mail account and cannot be deleted. However, if you set up a different inbox as your start folder you can conveniently ignore it entirely. Brian

designating in box as primary in Outlook 2013
Lauren Snyder
Hi:
I am using Jaws 17 with Windows 10 & Outlook 2013. I have an account which though not appearing in my account settings, thus not allowing me to delete it, nevertheless is the in box to which Outlook automatically opens up to. How can I change this so the correct in box with the desired email address opens up automatically when I launch Outlook 2013?
Sincerely,
Lauren

Maria:
I tried doing the search, but it didn’t work. Then I did some exploring on the MLB web site, and I found a hard way to get to it. After you initially go to the MLB web site, you find the Schedule link, and hit the Enter key. On the schedule of the current day’s games there is a “Watch the Game,” link. After you press the Enter key and the page loads, there is an option for “Accessible Game Day Audio.” After I went through all of this, I just copied the full web address for the page, which is
Mlb.mlb.com/media/player/mpa
Then I tried opening this page with my browser and it worked. So there is a roundabout way to find Gameday Audio. And now that I have copied the web address I should have no trouble.

Skype is very good at connecting with the person you are helping and then use JAWS tandem or NVDA remote to connect to their computer. Using Skype to talk to each other, and one of those remote programs, you can teach or do anything to help a person with their computer. If you are looking for other information, please make your question a little more clear. Take care, Mark.
