I sent an email to MLB stating that they should put a menu item for gameday audio on the main page, rather than hiding it wherever it is.

Maria:

I tried doing the search, but it didn’t work.  Then I did some exploring on the MLB web site, and I found a hard way to get to it.  After you initially go to the MLB web site, you find the Schedule link, and hit the Enter key.  On the schedule of the current day’s games there is a “Watch the Game,” link.  After you press the Enter key and the page loads, there is an option for “Accessible Game Day Audio.”  After I went through all of this, I just copied the full web address for the page, which is

Mlb.mlb.com/media/player/mpa

Then I tried opening this page with my browser and it worked.  So there is a roundabout way to find Gameday Audio.  And now that I have copied the web address I should have no trouble.

For Windows 7, try the following:
1. Go to the desktop.
2. Press Control+Space to make sure no items are selected.
3. Press the Applications key or Shift + F10 to open the context menu.
4. Select "Personalize".
5. Tab to where it says "Change desktop icons" and press Enter.

Hi,
Also, Caps Lock+ A will read all of the text. Keep in mind that the J, K,
and L with the Caps Lock held down, will read previous current, and next
word. The letters: U, I, and O, with the Caps Lock held down, will read
previous, current, and next line. The characters, M, Comma, and Period, will
Read previous, current, and next character. This is so awesome, because you
do not have to take your fingers from where you are typing. I use the laptop
layout on a Desktop computer. The desktop commands are not taken from you,
the Laptop commands are added to the desktop commands you already have. It
is great. Take care, Good question.

Re: remote training with ?

Hi Mark,
Skype is very good at connecting with the person you are helping and then use JAWS tandem or NVDA remote to connect to their computer. Using Skype to talk to each other, and one of those remote programs, you can teach or do anything to help a person with their computer. If you are looking for other information, please make your question a little more clear.

George,

Have you tested it on another machine. It is possible that the monitor itself has died. When that's the case the Device Manager will still report that the monitor is working properly because from the computer's side, it is.

If this is a laptop I have other possibilities, but more information is needed.

I would suggest googling the "black monitor repair" . You will find solutions on how to repair this type of problem. There is even you tube videos on the topic.

You may have a problem with worn out capacitors in the monitor if it has been used a lot.
