Dave...

Mike,

Okay, now I need to learn another set of keystrokes, so I can navigate some of those more troublesome web pages. Had no idea the touch cursor would apply to a standard keyboard. When the heck did they sneak that in?

Hi Pat,
There's a little trick to get Malwarebytes to read the results of a scan.
Use the touch cursor. It works even if you don't have a touch screen as long
as you're using JAWS 15 or higher. It does work in Windows 7 because I've
done it with clients' computers before and have shown them how to do it
themselves. It's a bit of a pain, but it works.

Re: mp3 editing programs

Nicole Massey <nyyki@...>

Depends on what kind of editing you want to do. If you're looking for basic
editing of an audio file, trimming and simple clean-up, then either Gold
Wave or Sound Forge are your best options. If you go the Sound Forge option
you don't have to buy it to get basic editing, but some features will be
disabled, and you'll probably want Sound Forge 7 for the highest level of
accessibility and ease of operation. (later versions lose some accessibility
and gain problems under later versions of Windows)
If you're looking for more of a DJ type environment then others will have to
advise you on that.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for doing the extra research. I hope it helps others on the list
also. I didn't realize that the results could vary depending on which document
view was in effect. Microsoft Word isn't my usual editing environment, thus
I'm still growing used to its subtleties in regard to accessibility.

Steve Griffiths <Steve.Griffiths@guidedogs.org.uk> wrote:
Hi Jason,

I've done a bit more playing with this. for the Alt + Shift + C method to work, the document has to be in Draft view (what used to be called Normal view). The more usual view, and that preferred by sighted users because it shows things like margins, headers, footers and graphics, is Print view. Press Alt + Ctrl + N to put a document into Draft view, and Alt + Ctrl + P to put it into Print view.

If you are in Print view, when you've finished editing a footnote, you have to arrow up until you're in the document again, and then you can use the JAWS shortcut Insert + Shift + F to get a list of footnotes; press Enter on the one you want and you'll move to that part of the document. On my PC, when my cursor moves from the footnote pane to the document, JAWS 17 says "space run at column one". I have no idea what that means!

I tried Alt+Shift+c while in a footnote pane (Word 2013), but it didn't appear to have any effect. I did use the JAWS pass-through key and was prompted for the key to be passed through.

There is a Word keystroke Alt + Shift + C for this. It now clashes

through key, Insert + 3, immediately before hand, it still works.
Thank you, Steve.

Microsoft's documentation says "Remove the document window split" -
not an obvious command for this purpose.

For MS-Word 2016, they also document Alt+Shift+< and Alt+Shift+> to
move to previous/next footnote, respectively.

Taleo + Workday

Gallagher, Niall <niall.gallagher@...>

Hi All,

I have recently started working with an employer who uses Taleo and Workday.

I am curious to know has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with either of the web applications I have mentioned?

I would be particularly interested to hear about strategies you have used to increase accessibility of either Taleo and/or Workday.

Kind regards,

Niall

Howdy,

Slight correction, use the, To, field to put Joseph's criteria in.

Put the above in the, Where the To line contains people field.
Take care.
Mike

Has the jfw listserve change its e-mail address. I had set up a message rule to put jfw messages in its own folder, but lately it has been going into my inbox. Please let me know what e-mail address I should use to recreate the message rule.

Re: Does JFW Work With Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Premium?

Dani Pagador

Hi, Drew.
I don't quite know how to ask this, but ... how do I add a program to
the safe programs list? Is there any special maneuvering I need to do
between cursors? A podcast or step-by-step gide I can access? I can
swing techy troubleshooting ... I just need a good set of directions
to follow.

Before the two programs were installed, I was running
Malware-something-or-other, and wasn't having any trouble with the
Lime music notation editor and its associated LimeAloud scripts
working; JFW both announced, and showed on the Braille display, what
was on screen. Now with the two new Malware products onboard, I see no
music in Braille, so think there's some interference/blockage
somewhere.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Dani

I have been running this for the last two years or so and am now running
the
latest version of Jaws 17.

I was about to post the same question. I haven't installed it yet. I am
running an older version of malware bites.
