Cindy, I just tried multiple addresses in 2013, and I could read them. I
thought I could, but checked to be certain before responding to this.

Hi Keith,

I'm the developer of the guitar tab reader script for JAWS. You can download it for free at http://backtoplayingblind.blogspot.com. There you'll find instructions on how to install the files and run the script.

This is still a work in progress. I wrote it to allow me to return to playing guitar after losing my vision in 2012. I've found it works pretty well as long as the tab follows standard tablature conventions.
Let me know your experience and how I might make it better.

I have reached a point after nearly 50 hours of coding that it is time for
an audio demo to show off the scripts. So far, there are two types of
navigation and control over the media player in firefox. I have dropped
support for Internet explorer in favor of firefox. It just does more in the
media player. The navigation is very simple and it is great for those with
cognitive disabilities or motor function problems. The keys are close
together and menu navigation is simple.
Navigation type 1:
You can press control Slash one time and hit enter to show the top level
objects on the page and then select them. Press it twice and hit enter, it
shows the second level navigation options for first letter navigation. This
is to increase efficiency and speed as well as skip the nonsense and focus
on what you want. This method of navigation is fast.
Navigation method 2. Press Control shift slash and a menu appears listing
the important sections of netflix on the page. You can arrow or first letter
navigate to it, then press the right arrow to view the children of that
particular section. Hit enter and it activates it.
Press left arrow and it returns you to the previous menu so you can continue
to navigate down the list and preview things before you select them. Once
the first search is done, it is fast navigating through the menus. Each time
you press the shortcut, it takes about 5 seconds to populate the list and
get the approate titles. I am working on increasing the speed, but it is
very hard when there is over 2000 objects on the page at a time.
The media player allows you to use the High Definition, move to beginning,
end, play pause, skip to next episode and back, change volume and seek time.
It allows for you to move back from this page and control fullscreen. Still
working on the uadio and subtitles portion as it is very different from
internet explorer.
I'll record a demo tonight and show you how this is really neat.
Thanks,
John Martyn

Re: Drag and drop

My experience is the same, that drag and drop inside one application
works okay but not from one application to another.

I have successfully used drag and drop in this manner in both windows
explorer and visual studio. However for explorer it was really just
messing around, if a program allows cutting and pasting the items of
interest that is basically always easier using jaws than a drag and
drop. For what I was doing in visual studio cut/paste was not an
option and so I was very glad I was able to get the drag to work.

I'm getting the same as Cindy, also on Outlook 2016 and Windows 10. I can create the group, but once created I can't review the member's list except with the JAWS cursor. When I Tab to the list, JAWS just doesn't say anything as I arrow up or down. I was using JAWS 17. A quick go with Windows-Eyes 9.2, NVDA 2015.4 and Narrator all give the same result.

You were placed on this list because you were on the old JAWS list,
which I moved to this service two days ago. You were very likely
nomail, so wouldn't have seen my warnings re: the move. If you're
having issues unsubscribing, contact me privately and I'll see what
can be done.

Does this work with MS Outlook 2016 and Windows 10? Because someone was
teaching me this and you could not go back and read the thing.

Hello Cindy,
The following instructions are predicated on the individual contacts you
want to enter into the list are already incorporated into your contacts;
Create a contact list 1. Press Control shift L to open the dialog 2. Enter a
name into the group name edit box and press enter.
3. A search edit box should come up.
4. enter the name of a group member in the search edit field.
5. You may need to arrow down through the list of names that comes up. Press
enter on the correct name.
6. enter the next name in the search edit box, and continue the process
until you have filled your list.
7. Tab to okay, and press enter.
Cheers Kevin.

You can also create groups (or contact lists, as they are more properly

Outlook.

I've done it before a long time ago, but am wondering if someone can give me
instructions for the process of sending a message to multiple e-mail
addresses in outlook 2010. I'm using the latest build of Jaws 16 though
should be getting my 17 cd very soon so might be upgrading. Any help is
greatly appreciated. thanks

Driver Update Program

Brian Smith

Hello:

Does anyone know of a driver update program that works with JAWS? I
have been using Driver Genius, with the combination of Zoomtext Xtra 10.1
and Jaws 17, but Driver Genius Pro 15 does not work as well as the 14
version did.

Control-Shift-F works in Outlook too - probably is the means of choice
for searching in most or all e-mail clients. So name would help. I would
guess that a lot of trouble has been taken to get the list set up, and
making a change like that might not be an easy one, just my thoughts.

Bye for now,

Carolyn

Re: sending to multiple addresses in outlook 2010

Carolyn Arnold <4carolyna@...>

Kevin, do you have problems getting contacts deleted from distribution
lists? So far, I have found that the only way I can do that is to get rid
of the whole list and reconstruct it. Sometimes a contact's address will
change, and even though I remove it and go back in and add that one to my
group, it wants to send to that old address. I don't know where it gets
it from. I am thinking there is something in the revision process that I
am omitting.

Bye for now,

Carolyn
