The Qube is the best client that I use and it is free. TW Blue is also free and is very good. You can have multiple accounts in both of those. The Qube is all keyboard driven, and TW blue has menus to navigate. So it depends on you and what kind of interface you like. Take care and let me know if I can help.

Re: Jaws cursor and firefox
Bill White <billwhite92701@...>
Hi, Jim. Try this to make the JAWS Cursor read the contents on pages with Firefox.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
How to make the JAWS Cursor Accessible in Firefox When using Mozilla Firefox version 4 or newer, reviewing web pages using the JAWS Cursor is problematic. Mozilla is using a new graphical technology in Firefox version 4 and newer which bypasses the offscreen model, (OSM). Since JAWS For Windows depends on the OSM to allow the user to review the screen using the JAWS Cursor, things don't work the same as with older versions of Firefox, (such as version 3.6). Solution: 1. Launch Mozilla Firefox. 2. Press Control-L to open a new link. 3. Type "about:config" and press Enter. (All commands to type do not include the quotation marks) 4. If you are presented with a dialog which warns you about the dangers of making changes, Tab to the "I'll be careful, I promise!" button and press Enter. 5. At this point you should be out of Virtual Cursor mode and on a filter Edit Box. If not, turn off Virtual Cursor mode by pressing JAWS Key plus z. 6. In the filter Edit Box type "composition.enabled" 7. Press Tab to get to the list of filtered entries and you should see one called layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled with a value of true 8. Press Enter to toggle this value to False. 9. Press Control-W to close the configuration window. 10. Restart Firefox. you should now be able to use the JAWS Cursor to review web pages while using Mozilla Firefox version 36.0.1 and newer. Bill White billwhite92701@dslextreme.com

chrome, lister suggestions and what I found
Adrian Spratt
When I was testing Chrome earlier this week, I posted problems I encountered and several people posted suggestions. Here's what people said and what I've found.
For my download query, Ann wrote. The context menu on the downloads page has an item that says something about open link in incognito window. The item just below that is 'save link as', which looks like 'save target as' to me. Me. David Moore found the same thing in his podcast. Chrome says "Save link as" instead of the Moore familiar "Save target as." Brad wrote: For the Save Link As option, I route JAWS to PC (even though the JAWS cursor reads nothing), and then right-clicked, and I could save the item linked to. Me. While on the FS website this morning, I couldn't get the "Save link as" option to appear in the right mouse menu. I tried Brad's idea. Still nothing happened. But after I switched from the JAWS to the PC cursor, I tried the right mouse menu again, and there it was. So, the next time I reach a download link, I'll route JAWS to PC, press the PC cursor key, then press right mouse and arrow down to "save link as." For my combo box problem, Andre wrote: I just hit the spacebar to open the combo list. Hit enter on what I want or escape to exit. That's what I have seen on my machine. Me. there's no single solution to the combo boxes I've encountered while using Chrome. Usually, I need to press enter and then alt-down arrow to get inside a combo box. The spacebar has never worked for me here. However, once I've placed focus on my choice, escape does sometimes work. I don't recall ever using escape before to get out of a combo box. My thanks to all three of you. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I want to tell all of you the procedure to set a short cut to open a program that is not on the desktop or pinned to the start area. You can create a short cut to any program on your computer. Here is what you do. First, press the Windows key to open the start area. up arrow once and press enter on all apps. Arrow to the program that you want to set the short cut for. If it says collapsed, press enter to open it. Now, arrow down to the program and press the applications key. Next, arrow down to open file location and press enter. Press the applications key. Now, up arrow once and enter on properties. Next, tab to the shortcut field and put in a letter. The alt and ctrl are automatically added to the short cut. Just tab to okay and press enter. Now, you can open that program with alt + ctrl + the letter without that program pinned anywhere. If the program is just on your computer, this way to create a short cut will work. Removing System Healer with Malwarebytes or Spy Hunter
Cristóbal
Hello list,
So I don’t know how, but it seems I have some malware on one of my desktop machines called System Healer. Browser hijacker, redirector, false positives with prompts to buy protection tools, etc. In any event, Looking around on how to remove it, I come across the solution of using Spy Hunter. I’m a Malwarebytes user and on this particular machine, I simply hadn’t’ gotten around to installing Malwarebytes (oh well). I downloaded and ran a demo version of Malwarebytes (V 1.75) but the machine comes up clean even though I still see System healer on my computer. My question is this, is there a way to specifically target a process or folder or file to scan and quarantine with Malwarebytes? Searching around, I can select a drive or type of scan (full, quick or flash), but can’t find anything to target a particular folder/file/process. That aside, has anyone used Spy Hunter and have they found it to be accessible with Jaws? In my case, JFW 17. Naturally, the scan and detect aspects are free, but removal is only with a license. I’m not against paying for a malware tool. I’ve got a paid version of Malwarebytes on my personal laptop, but before I go and shell out $30 or $40, I’d like to know whether I would even be able to use it at all without calling over the sighted wife to the rescue. Alternatively, has anyone dealt with this program and were they able to remove it from their system with any particular tool that is reasonably Jaws accessible? There are manual instructions on how to remove System healer, but they involve delving into the registry, other system files and so on. I’d prefer not to go that route if possible. Thanks, Cristobal -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... If so, there is, as you say, a year to get FS to change this/bring back the Merge Utility in future! I know that this is not exactly what you meant; but, it gives me some hope. Although I will continue to encourage people to complain about this change, I will be on the alert for more news. Jim H
